Renata Guastelli makes her debut at
CASACOR São Paulo 2024 with a space called “Natural Connection”. This project is a manifesto to the essential and intrinsic beauty of the natural world, occupying an area of 130m² as a
contemplative garden. The idea was to create a refuge that connects visitors with nature, promoting an immersive experience aligned with the theme of the exhibition, “
As a gift, the now ”.
The project stands out for its integration between the environments and nature, using a careful selection of plants, including the Guaimbê compacta, Guaimbê do brejo, Cipó-imbé, Portora, Chapéu do Panamá and Xícara de Chá. Each plant was selected not only for its beauty, but also for its ability to adapt to the local climate, contributing to biodiversity and creating an ideal microclimate in the garden. “Initially, we emphasized the connection with nature through plants. The species chosen create a tropical environment, full of diversity and vibrant life”, says Renata. To highlight the theme of “the now,” armchairs, poufs, tables and a bench were placed in the garden. Water fountains were added to renew the energy of the space, offering movement and relaxing sounds. This emotional and mental connection with the environment invites visitors to relax and appreciate the present moment . Sustainability was a crucial factor in the development of this project. The draining floor, with 99% permeability, is made of rolled quartz pebbles, bonded with a vegetable polyurethane resin. The strategy includes reusing plastic pots and planning for later use of the plants. Irrigation and lighting systems are also sustainable and reusable. With this environment, the landscaper sets a new standard for exterior and interior spaces that respect the environment and promote a connection with nature, suggesting a greener future.
