Reinterpreting the contemporary way of inhabiting, focused on interaction and artistic expression, has revealed the tone of the work of five professionals who chose Portinari coverings for their projects at CASACOR Rio 2025. Subverting expectations and, thereby, finding a particular way to value textures and colors is an interesting way to make the most of a brand that has art in its DNA to create ceramic coverings. “At CASACOR Rio, we show how Portinari coverings go beyond aesthetic function. They embrace, awaken memories, and build experiences that dialogue with the affections of each visitor. It is proof that the surface can evoke emotion and translate new ways of living,” states Helga Dias Junqueira, Marketing and Branding Manager at Portinari. At Casa Brisa Deca, architect Paola Ribeiro places the kitchen at the center of attention, with all the social and emotional weight that the new times present. Portinari is revealed in the countertop covered by the Frame Gn Matte stone (7.7x24), which runs throughout the space to the winter garden, which has a view of Pedra da Gávea. The Gales Organic Portinari flooring reinforces the organic atmosphere of the project and also appears on the walls of the social project, surprising visitors with the possibility of using ceramics in unexpected places. In the bathroom counter, the sintered stone Petra Sólida Beige was used. The architect Fabiano Prates Ravaglia describes his 110 m² project as an affective autobiography. Casa Ita, as he chose to call it, brings memories of his childhood in Cachoeiro de Itapemirim, Espírito Santo. Portinari porcelain assumes the leading role: the Gales ORGANIC SBE kit brings organicity and lightness to the floor and creates the sensory base that drives the project, from social areas, such as living rooms, dining rooms, and kitchens, to the intimate area, which echoes the welcoming identity of the material. Having Rio de Janeiro as a port is the destination of the character that Anna Malta and Andrea Neves Duarte created to be the resident of their Refuge of the Journalist. There, works of art and travel memories help to relax in the face of the intense routine. Practicality, then, is of primary importance. The bedroom floor, which also extends to the bathroom, is the Hana DGR 14x117 in plank format, from the collaboration between Portinari and Alex Hanazaki. Thought of as a sensory experience studio, the Chef Chocolatier Studio reveals the inspiration of Cristina Japiassú coming from the world of artisanal chocolate. In just over 40 m², the architect shaped the living room, bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen warmly, with an engaging palette and a dose of well-placed relaxation. The large format porcelain Portinari Scultore Be 120x120 was applied to the floors of the intimate areas, as well as the special piece Sole, accompanying the Linea SBE Matte on the walls. In the kitchen, the delicate Sole Decor SBE and NO in two shades create a texture play that dialogs with fabrics, wood, and wallpaper. Guided by the theme of the year "Sowing Dreams," Casa Origem features the signature of architect Jacira Pinheiro. Throughout its 70 m², she honors her father and displays elements from her childhood home, translating memory and belonging into decorative language. In the bathroom, the Portinari Harmonia Brick coverings, in SGN and OFW shades, bring a soft texture to the walls, the counter, and the floor, creating a setting that is both modern and poetic, inviting relaxation and contemplation.
