The atmosphere seems to transform the moment the visitor enters the Alquimia do Morar projects, celebrating the partnership between Portinari and interior designer Marina Linhares at CASACOR São Paulo 2025. In this house, coziness, softness, and sensitivity — essential characteristics of Marina's work — materialize in coatings, furniture, and textures throughout the 225 m² distributed across the living room, suite, bathroom, gourmet area, bar, and library. The theme of the exhibition in 2025 — Semear Sonhos — served as the inspiration to develop this project that seeks to provoke the senses and evoke affectionate memories. "This house is like an old memory whose origin we do not know, but it comforts just to touch," defines the designer. In that space, earth, metal, and stone are revisited with delicacy and poetic density. Each texture, shade, and form masterfully conveys the idea of hospitality. "Although CASACOR is an exhibition, we always think of comfort and affection — and this guides us in all our projects. Therefore, I believe it's natural that our spaces are true sensory experiences." This combination of sensations also reflects the formal references of the project. The modernism of the 1970s represented another source of inspiration in this manifesto on habitation. Continuous surfaces, earthy tones, and organic textures help create a fluid scenario where everything connects naturally. A large part of this sensory experience is due to the Portinari Petra sintered stone slabs — produced for the first time in Brazil — and the Petra collection by Marina Linhares. Two products created by the designer stand out: Petra Taipa and Petra Bronze. The former recalls the old rammed earth constructions with earthy texture and organic tones. The latter brings the shine of brushed brass. Together, they represent the meeting between ancestry and innovation, between emotion and technique. This duality is also revealed in the way Marina composes the materials. By combining products from her collection with other coatings — such as wood, natural-toned ceramics, and stone-like porcelain tiles — she balances the rustic and the sophisticated, the artisanal and the technological. "Nothing is obvious in the Alquimia do Morar projects," explains Marina. "We treat the exhibition not just as an extension of our work in the office but also as a true laboratory — a place that challenges us to create the new," she adds. "We made unusual combinations with everything that was made available to us. We developed pieces like the living room coffee table, the kitchen island, the dining table, the lavatory, the bathroom adjacent to the bedroom..." The space also encompasses key concepts of the designer's style, such as ancestry and sustainability. For Patrícia Zanivan, surface design coordinator at Portinari, Marina designed a complete house that translates Portinari's values and addresses the spirit of our time. "Designing today is more than just creating beautiful spaces: it is about creating experiences that make sense for those who live in them. And this goes through choices that respect memory, the planet, and the senses," says the executive. For the brand, the surfaces, textures, and volumes — combined by Marina Linhares — construct a layered narrative in this space, where each room unveils an emotion, whispers a memory, invites a breath. An authorial work that gently and delicately discusses our way of living. "Everything in the Alquimia do Morar projects was designed with a precision of details that enchants. And that's what transforms the space into a true experience of living," concludes the designer.
