Percursus is a box of surprises that combines architecture and art at CASACOR

If you ask anyone who lives in or regularly visits a big city what is the most characteristic element of the metropolis, traffic will certainly be one of the first answers (if not the first). It was inspired by this trait that architect and designer Guilherme Torres created " Percursus ", a project by CASACOR São Paulo 2023 .

To do this, he teamed up with visual artist Regina Silveira to create a large white cube that serves as a backdrop for vinyl stickers that imitate a vehicle skidding .

Furthermore, small racing cars are subtly distributed throughout the environment, mainly on the walls, as if they were "responsible" for the tire marks .

Studio Guilherme Torres - Percursus. A instalação explora a correlação entre o trabalho do arquiteto e designer Guilherme Torres e a obra da artista plástica Regina Silveira. Um grande cubo branco serve de suporte ao site specific Derrapagem, no qual marcas de pneus recriam o trânsito de uma grande cidade. Adesivos de vinil recortados compõem essa criação de Regina e foram aplicados no piso de cimento polimérico branco, que se funde às paredes. Desenhado por Guilherme, o mobiliário ora transpõe movimentos sinuosos — como no sofá de couro preto Lee — ora modifica a perspectiva e a espacialidade, a exemplo da montagem Supernova, com mesas de alturas variadas.
