The Deca Pavilion , by João Panaggio , is surprising not only for its size – a grand 300 m2 – but also for its use of water as a central and dividing element to integrate and sectorize the spaces. The project, sponsored by Deca , interprets the evolution of people's relationships with their spaces through water at CASACOR Rio .

Governed by the connection between architecture and the individual, the project makes use of this natural resource throughout its entirety, reinforcing the timeless attributes and symbols of strength, cleanliness and relaxation so present in Roman baths.

Inspired by the design of the products, Panaggio created the concept for the space based on a variety of Deca lines and finishes. “This aspect of the piece as a design is one of the strongest aspects of my reading of the brand, where metal and porcelain take on the role of design objects . When we talk about detail, the detail manifests itself as if each product had a personality,” emphasizes the architect.

In the shape of a light, monolithic pavilion – in a reference to our tropical modernism –, the spa house is fully connected to nature and designed as a premium space for guests seeking relaxation.

On the main axis of the building, the pool governs the circular layout. The installation runs through the entire pavilion and separates the living area from the private area. A gap in the ceiling follows this line like a large skylight that favors the presence of natural light.

In the decoration, the use of finishes in earthy tones , raw fabrics and natural weaves offers greater integration between the interior area and the gardens. The furniture features national wood, especially in the bedroom, where the aim is to prioritize welcoming and integration with the present nature.
On the opposite side, between the living room and the armchair room, which brings together iconic pieces of national design, the kitchen displays a contemporary style with the Urban Deca faucet, which translates a design thought for functionality , combined with aesthetic attributes that make use more intuitive.

The 200m2 space, with landscaping by Catê Poli and Luis Porto , creates a green setting, taking advantage of the existing tropical vegetation and incorporating lush plants native to the Atlantic Forest . With sand on the floor, it brings a beachy feel to welcome visitors with comfort.
