The female maturity that was once a taboo is now a topic of discussion. They no longer live in isolation but talk, debate, share – and live their 50s more intensely. These are significant changes that require attention not only to the body: it is necessary to look at all aspects of life. And, of course, this is also reflected in the home. No wonder, in this edition of CASACOR Rio, three projects have been created for mature women. With very different styles, the projects have in common the focus on what is essential. Life needs to be practical and functional, but the home is a place of affection, comfort, and meaning in every detail.

It was exactly with this in mind that architect Cristina Côrtes created the loft Maturity: Time lives here. In it, the social projects are practical, cozy, and welcoming, whether when receiving friends or in daily life. Objects filled with affective memory, such as the record player, the swing on the balcony, and the many objects on the shelf, are everywhere.

The intimate area is the refuge where she can rest, relax, and practice daily self-care. "It is a space that embraces the past, celebrates the present, and prepares for the future," says the architect.

Interior designer Claudia Infante made her Loft of the Woman 50+ a tribute to actress Ingrid Guimarães, who often uses her social media to talk about her experiences. In the decoration, the project brings only what is essential. No excesses or ostentation. The cabinetry is discreet, with straight and pure lines; the furniture is signed; the color palette is soft; and the layout is fluid, with efficient storage spaces and comfortable furniture that guarantee functionality. One detail that has been attracting attention: the famous vibrator used by Ingrid's character in the movie De Pernas pro Ar (2010) has a prominent place on the bedside table.

"More than a beautiful space, the project proposes an experience of self-connection. It inspires the woman to take care of herself, to dream, and to achieve. It is a project that welcome her essence and offers support to live life with quality and fullness,” asserts Claudia.

Architect Sebastian Gomez was also inspired by a mature woman to create his first project in CASACOR Rio: the Essence Loft. After traveling the world and living many experiences, she wants to come home and enjoy everything that values. The projects are integrated, but the use of resources such as the ceiling height variation, cobogós (between social and intimate areas) and the muxarabi (separating bedroom and bathroom) sectorize the projects without compartmentalizing, creating a sensory connection, allowing light entry and air circulation while ensuring privacy.

The choice of stone and wood as the main materials enhances the passage of time, uniting practicality, beauty, and authenticity. "Each element has a reason to be, each choice contributes to a space easy to live in, versatile, and emotionally comfortable," he defines.

The CASACOR Rio 2025 is located in the Fashion Mall shopping center, in São Conrado, which has part of its area occupied by 43 projects. They are lofts, studios, an apartment, as well as common areas and green spaces that present a new way of living in Rio: in smaller spaces that bring together in a few square meters all the functionality and well-being that the residents desire. The exhibition can be visited until October 26, from Tuesday to Sunday, from 12 PM to 9 PM. Tickets are available at the box office and online at https://appcasacor.com.br/events/rio-de-janeiro-2025.
