Innovative weaving techniques, metal creations, including lamps and functional objects, bold and innovative assemblies, documentation through photography of the entire Bauhaus Modernist Movement these are just a few examples of the legacy that the women of the German school left for art , architecture and design to this day. And these are also the characteristics that architect Natália Xavier highlighted in her space “ Modernes Haus ”, at CASACOR SC | Balneário Camboriú 2023.

The clean look, full of contrasts between solids and voids, reflections and textures, exposes, in this functional bedroom, the balance of complementary elements illustrated by the 1919 movement. The bed made of tempered glass with a greenish tone, designed by the architect, highlights the boldness and resistance of the Bauhaus, but also of the women who were icons for the movement.

The office desk, made of certified wood , displays images of weavers, designers, photographers and architects, including Gunta Stölzl, Lilly Reich, Anni Albers and Friedl Dicker – overshadowed by the story they starred in.

By rescuing the memory of these women, Natália brings feminine strength to her entire environment, which is informative, light and transparent, prioritizing essential shapes and pure colors , integrating art to escape from tradition.

On the external wall of the room, there is a composition with rugs of different shapes , straight with pure colors such as red, green and blue, creating a reference to the work developed by the women of the Bauhaus tapestry workshop, where most of them were taken when they enrolled in art school.
