Comfort and sophistication are visible in the
Grandparents' Suite , designed by
Gabriela Casagrande at
CASACOR Paraná . The architect designed the 36 m² space as a haven of memories for an elderly couple who value family and religion. In addition to the concern with the project concept, the ecological trait is evident in the use of natural materials, which reflect the architect's concern for the environment.
The architect used natural linen for the curtains and headboard of the bed, which, together with the marble in the suite's bathroom, enhances the richness and respects nature by generating the least possible environmental impact. American oak veneer, extracted from sustainably managed forests, was used on the panel behind the bed and in all the cabinets.

The project’s exclusivity comes precisely from the choice to use sustainable elements, as the architect comments. “The pieces may present small natural imperfections that cannot be reproduced, which makes it an even more unique product.” Despite this, minimizing environmental impact is the most important factor when choosing products. “Resources extracted from the earth do not need to undergo chemical processes, which helps the environment.”
Natural materials also stand out for their durability. “Most of the pieces are highly durable, which helps the project and the client, since they won’t have any costs for this material any time soon,” he explains.
