"Pupila" is an invitation for each visitor to connect with their
own memories and
references . Based on this idea, the contrast of colors, textures and shapes in this
home office aims to represent the memories of interior designer
Marcelo Estevam , who is making his debut at
CASACOR Ribeirão Preto in 2023.

“I thought about paying homage to her, since she still makes rugs, and using them as
patchwork on the bed. The idea is
to revive the aesthetics of the 1970s , which were featured at the Milan Fair this year. The latest fashion shows by designers like Issey Miyake and Paco Rabanne also indicate this revival, which shows how fashion dictates the aesthetics of the world, including architecture.”
The
natural elements and
strong colors , hallmarks of Marcelo's work, give identity to the space, as do the marble, the stained glass windows and, especially, the mirror that represents an eye, a work by Renata Carrascosa and Marcelo Dias. “
It is the pupil that connects what exists outside with what is inside . And it is through it that the present becomes memory.”
