Architect Bruno Reis and interior designer Helena Kallas , from Mandril Arquitetura , debuted at CASACOR São Paulo with Cozinha Torno , a 55 m² space that was inspired by the professionals' experience with clay modeling. The duo produced a collection of vases, lamp bases and handmade ceramic coverings that make up the tabletop, the central element of the space, especially for the show.

The sensorial ceramics , made with the Invenchiatto Champagne finish, are a highlight that brings a sense of coziness to the kitchen. The original pieces take center stage in the space and invite visitors to focus on the present with an attentive and reflective gaze, say the architects. This proposal to contemplate the present moment is related to the name of the project: in a similar way, handling the lathe requires a lot of attention in the present . The lathe is also represented in the curved lines in the details of the hood's carpentry, on the sides of the wet island cabinet, on one end of the table top and on the back of the chairs designed by Sérgio Rodrigues. Along the Torno Kitchen route, you can also find antique pieces, displayed on the sideboard to the left of the entrance. On the opposite side, sensory ceramics cover part of the floor, wall, ceiling and coving, framing the tapestry. The collection was designed to create the desire to be in a home that embraces .

Another strategy used by the duo to create a welcoming space was the use of terracotta paint. The choice of color palette, in fact, is a highlight of the space: one of the walls was painted in the color “ Deep Indigo ”, by Coral . Blue is also present in the tiles on the countertop, in the tapestry by Luiz Carlos Alberti and in the covering of the table top.

According to Bruno, participating in CASACOR means enhancing what happens in the office’s routine: “Our work begins with welcoming the client and offering them a universe of new possibilities based on living. Here, it will be the same, but for a larger and more diverse audience.” Helena adds: “We want to awaken in visitors a desire to stay in the space, to linger, and so that they can remember special moments around the table, being with family, and emotional encounters.”
