integration of spaces . Mainly popular among younger people,
lofts are known for their practicality, reduced space and, in their original form, industrial style. These homes often also feature custom carpentry, multifunctional furniture and creative partitions to divide the spaces.

Lofts began to become popular in the 1950s in New York. After
major Hollywood productions portrayed the loft as a residence, its fame soon began to spread and the home quickly became an object of desire for the coolest young Americans. And soon, lofts would also become a symbol of contemporary housing in Brazilian cities, such as São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, where the real estate market favors compact and small homes.
