Interior designers
Manuela Dal Pizzol de Melo and
Marice Gandin rummage through the most precious memories they carry in their hearts for the space "
Memories that belong ", which is part of
CASACOR SC | Balneário Camboriú 2023. It is an invitation to slow down, reconnect with yourself and the nature that surrounds you. In the project, it is possible to dive into the depths of our own essence and discover new layers of meaning in everyday life.
The project goes even further and brings new perspectives to a delicate subject: if memories give us grounding, shelter and a
place to belong , especially when helplessness makes reality more indigestible,
the erasure of lived time caused by dementia eliminates the traces and reference of existence itself.
“We address the issue of Alzheimer’s and the memories we build throughout our lives.
We aim to raise awareness, through our surroundings, about the seriousness of this disease and how our memories govern our lives . In addition to the issue, a counterpoint is presented through a selected work of art and a completely innovative panel, as a way of giving new meaning to our own story,” says the duo, who are making their debut at the exhibition.
