A return to ancestry with a touch of good sensory memories is the path taken by architect Michael Zanghelini to create the Naturalle Loft at CASACOR Santa Catarina 2021. Since his first participation in the exhibition, Michael has been establishing a direct relationship with nature : what it represents and, above all, where it comes from and where it is going. Natural elements , such as marble, wood and leather, stand out in a composition with design pieces , objects of sentimental value and works of art. The suite's almost monochromatic elegance is completed by the natural leather bed. The linens were created by the architect himself using a variety of materials. (Fábio Júnior Severo/CASACOR)
In the room, whose LED lighting splits it in half, creating a unique relaxing effect, there is also an armchair inviting you to rest. The wood continues its path from the bedroom to the bathroom, separated by a nostalgic black metal profile partition in fluted glass . (Fábio Júnior Severo/CASACOR)
Michael created a monolithic block of white marble for the countertop, underneath creative mirrors also framed in wood. The softness of a solid wood brise-soleil creates, in addition to a play of light and shadow, the division between the suite and the living room of the Naturalle Loft. (Fábio Júnior Severo/CASACOR)
Under the marble floor and strategic rugs that do not obscure the view, the sofa flows into the room with its raw tone, its shapes inspired by nature and the pebbles of the rivers that balance with the movement of the current. The Baixa armchair by Guilherme Wentz and the black benches that resemble logs made of charred wood using the Japanese Shou Sugi Ban technique, which is over 300 years old, also form part of the space. (Fábio Júnior Severo/CASACOR)
The strongest point of color in the Loft comes from the kitchen . The intense and elegant Amazonian green dominates, mainly among the planned spaces that bring together a careful selection of visual artists from Santa Catarina. (Fábio Júnior Severo/CASACOR)
The ancestry defended by Michael Zanghelini runs through the understanding that the past depends on a sustainable future . “For the second year, when CASACOR ends, each piece will have a specific destination . Use from start to finish and avoid any type of waste,” he concludes. (Fábio Júnior Severo/CASACOR)
