Comprising the ticket office,
lobby and the Audi space at
CASACOR Minas 2023 , the Lobby Essência signed by
Life projects – by José Lourenço and Marina Figueiredo – is an ode to
architecture .
The main proposal is
to exalt the beauty of materials in their rawest form. With no space for the synthetic and the artificial, the project explores the
authenticity ,
organicity and
rawness of materials as they are.
Following the
essentialist line, all choices made for the project aim to
maximize waste reduction at the end of the work, a bias that brings to the fore reflection on
sustainability. One of these choices, which defines the fluidity and lightness of the space, are the
eco-fabrics that hang from the ceiling, contrasting with the hardness of the
concrete . The color palette highlights
neutral choices .
