Based on the Japanese philosophy of wabi-sabi, the duo
Carolina Pellenz and
Rafael Kreusch created the
Perfectly Imperfect space – a living room that combines living and dining and sees comfort in the beauty of the imperfect – at
CASACOR Santa Catarina 2023 .
In the project, the emphasis on
organic shapes and asymmetrical imperfections define the
wabi-sabi concept and elevate the space to a new power. Here, different tones in the same wood and different textures
are not only valued, but sought after thanks to their beauty that recounts time and makes asymmetries visible.
“We seek to use these elements to create a
natural environment,” says the duo at the head of
RCK Integradas .
