Architects Gabriela Gontijo and Mariana Hummel from Studio Gontijo created a space for the 29th edition of CASACOR Brasília in which originality is the watchword. The Living Kit House is a 220 m² space created from the culture of the " gourmet space " – a room that celebrates the love of cooking at the same time as a place for socializing.

In the architectural project, the architects present a kitchen integrated into the living room . With a modern and functional footprint, Kit House's lacquer panels hide the appliances, the china cabinet and the pantry. The kitchen countertop stands out for the magic of being suspended , as if it were floating. Studio Gontijo - Living Kit House & Tektons. Projeto da CASACOR Brasília 2021. The space is marked by earthy tones and the use of wood , elements that give a feeling of coziness. Decorative items complete this idea, with the presence of old books, clay pieces and baskets composing the environment. There is a contrast of materials and textures, combining rusticity and technology . The dining table is made of rustic wood and has been given a unique treatment. The coffee table is exclusive – created by designer Simone Coste. The space also houses the award-winning Cadê armchair, from the Ovo studio, in elastic fabric and metal structure.

The space has an extension with a garden designed to take advantage of the outdoor area – a space with a new status after the pandemic. The annex creates a natural ventilation channel for the environment, in addition to providing a relaxing and resting area. On the external wall, rammed earth, an ancient technique in which the earth is compressed into resistant and durable layers, meeting the need for sustainability with ecologically correct processes.
