Architect Bárbara Ramos accessed her earliest childhood memories, when she used to spend time in her grandparents' wooden house, to create Living Entre Laços . This special bond, both from her family relationship and with the raw material, is on display at CASACOR Santa Catarina 2023 .

In a space flooded with sunlight – and with a privileged view of nature –, Bárbara designed a space that includes living and dining rooms using simple lines , organic shapes and a duality of colors. All of this, of course, without leaving aside comfort and elegance.

“The unique features of this project are in its design, showing that beauty exists in the simplicity of lines . The living room, despite being minimalist and in black and white, is cozy and calming when you enter. It’s a breath of fresh air on busy days when you need to stop and relax. It also shows that we don’t need superfluous items , but rather pieces that have their due value in the space,” describes Bárbara.

The ebonized wood , the star of the space, occupies the floor and walls, contrasting with other elements, such as the Ramona armchair by André Grippi, the Bruta chair by Roberta Banqueri, the BO bench by Zanini de Zanine and the Glass Side Table by Guilherme Wentz.

Regarding the bar built into the wall in wood and stone, the architect points out the visibility of the overhead shelves and not the volume of the furniture itself: “I really like to highlight what really matters and when there is something more functional, it blends in with the architecture . This same alternative is used in the niches next to the living room”.
For the dining room, designed as a setting for gatherings for much more than just meals, a wooden table, also in black, was designed to break away from traditional formats. Its design allows everyone to see and interact with each other , “enhancing connections between people.” The selected works of art include works by Macaparana, Ricardo Homem, Marcos Siqueira, Henrique Savas and Ana Montez.
