Pedro Luiz de Marqui - Estúdio Liberdade. The 60 m² studio marks the architect's debut at CASACOR, who has distanced himself from trends in order to maintain creative freedom, focusing on the emotional, playful and extravagant. “The idea was to use different materials that contrast with each other, representing the past and the present, like a contemporary cave,” he explains. Brazilian marble, cement, aluminum, bronze, wool and velvet fabrics, and details in clay and wood are among his choices. An artistic installation created in partnership with designer Lucas Recchia, made up of melted glass plates, delimits the social and private areas. The wood frame design of the space ensured a dry and sustainable construction. Another eco-friendly point is the use of glass fused with solar energy and the pieces in marble left over from Brazilian quarries.

In his debut at CASACOR São Paulo , architect Pedro Luiz de Marqui has strayed from the trends and created a studio that embodies exactly that. Entitled " Estúdio Liberdade ", the 60 m² project includes a living room and a master suite that values creative freedom. and clings to the emotional, the playful and the extravagant.

The artistic atmosphere is provided by the melted glass plates hanging from steel cables , an installation created in partnership with designer Lucas Recchia that delimits the social and private areas of the studio.

Right at the entrance, the strong and vibrant colors chosen to compose both the furniture and the fabrics – such as the blue velvet curtain – and also the stones, such as the wine-colored Brazilian marble that appears in the bathroom area, catch your eye.

The signature design appears in the space in pieces by the Campana brothers, such as the Flama chair , a reinterpretation of the Desconfortáveis collection, and the Vareta chair , by Joaquim Tenreiro. In addition, a handmade tapestry made of natural wool highlights the work of a women's cooperative in Southern region of Brazil.

The coverings include porcelain, Brazilian marble, cement, aluminum, bronze, clay and laminated wood. "The idea was to apply different materials that contrast with each other , representing the past and the future, like a contemporary cave. ", explains Pedro Luiz.

For the space, the architect chose the Granite collection, by Portinari , to compose the coverings. Inspired by the well-known granilites – made of a cement mass with pieces of stone, such as marble – the collection is as resistant as the material from which it is made. . To complete the project, the Timeworn line was applied, also by Portinari, which references cement marked by time.
Three sustainable aspects of the environment are worth highlighting: the assembly of the space, made entirely of wood frame , which ensured a dry and sustainable construction ; the use of glass fused with solar energy; and the marble pieces remaining from Brazilian quarries.
