Reflecting the theme of the
CASACOR São Paulo 2023 exhibition, “
Body & Home ”, architect and designer
Léo Shehtman proposed for his space a contemplation of architectural nostalgia. His inspiration was the building that hosted the event,
Conjunto Nacional – a project from the 1950s listed by the state’s Historical and Architectural Heritage.
(Adriano Pacelli/CASACOR)
Called “Memories”, the project is a
bunker that is established as
a temporary home and reflects all its uses – living room, dining room and kitchen, artificially lit gardens, suite with bathroom and lounge bar –, marking the relationship between the body and space.
(Adriano Pacelli/CASACOR)
“It is a bunker of memories, following the concept of a
place occupied by time and explored by the user . A home that highlights all its daily uses and needs, retaining experiences so that one day it can be transmitted to the future, through
different empirical signs ,” explains Shehtman.
(Adriano Pacelli/CASACOR)
To materialize this space, the architect relied on
Dell Anno 's
know-how to compose the base of two of the integrated environments in the
140 square meter area.
(Adriano Pacelli/CASACOR)
The panels and countertops that make up the living room and kitchen have a Baden finish, a
woody, almost black tone . Forming niches of varying heights and widths, all the furniture features laser edge technology, which ensures
much greater resistance to the wood and allows the sound system wiring to pass behind the panels.
(Adriano Pacelli/CASACOR)
Dark wood enhances the
diversity of colors and textures chosen for the décor, combined with other materials, such as steel, signaling the marks of time. The goal is
to enhance the memory associated with the place and reflect the sociocultural process in which we are inserted, in which our lived experiences project our surroundings.

“It is always an honor to participate in CASACOR, each experience is unique. This year’s space was designed with great affection, bringing this
connection of memory associated with the place ”, anticipates the architect.
