Designed by Leo Romano, Casa Brasil marks the third participation of the architect and designer from Goiás in CASACOR São Paulo . This year, Leo's project features a living room and dining room that form a single, generous space, where he pays homage to Brazilian design. root and, at the same time, draws attention to our current political moment. “What are you hungry for?” is the question Leo asks all visitors who come to his space. In a simple but striking setting, Leo preserves the physical space in its original form, without breaking or creating walls, and materializes the living and dining rooms with pine slats, tied together and suspended from the ceiling by strings, bringing coziness and configuring a roof, as if it were a small house within the space. “This drawing is very reminiscent of my work and involves an emotional memory that I have since my childhood scribbles,” says the architect. With lightness and fluidity, Leo Romano's work is reminiscent of oriental minimalism, seasoned with very Brazilian colors, which make Casa Brasil a catwalk for the best of national furniture, such as Oscar Niemeyer's chaise-longue and the tea trolley and the sofa by Jorge Zalszupin (AZ Decor). Embracing the glass table by Jacqueline Terpins are the Lucio chairs by Sergio Rodrigues. The side tables, one from the Chuva line and the other from the Bailarina collection, are by the architect himself. He also signed the design of the carpet, inspired by the works of Burle Marx, which was executed by Casa Mix, the same company that made the blue painted resin dogs in the pebble garden at the entrance.
