Intuition, astrology and crystals guide the design of this living room

Based on the mix of sensations, emotions and feelings that surround everyday life, in addition to careful listening, architect Michael Zanghelini presents his version of living at CASACOR Santa Catarina 2022. And he provokes us to think: how to (re)enchant ourselves with life ?

“We have gone through a very painful process in which we had to look within , shake up solid structures, and allow others to collapse. We are in a time of reworking , an opportunity to review what makes sense, the flow of our energies, where we deposit them, how we live. Space is a terrain that encompasses all of this and can 'heal' as a life practice”, highlights the architect.

Based on the Japanese concept of Shibumi – which means, in general terms, total simplicity that is broken by a decorative detail –, the architect designed a living space that involves simplicity , strong personality and a lot of creativity .

Intuition was welcomed into the process and orders the project based on the composition of natural materials, important works of art, elements that reveal the architect’s “ Particular Infinity ”. Detachment, functionality, beauty, freedom and an art curation based on the unusual set the tone for the living room , which also has a strong influence from astrology . The reference is represented in a crystal lamp alluding to the Capricorn Constellation , which, by the way, is the ruling sign of the architect.

The lighting is subtle and highlights textures, the veins of the rocks with the slight warmth of the wood . The red-toned art canvases contrast with the more cheerful ones.
