The fluidity of the spaces at
Casa Sui , a project designed by
Nídia Duarte for
CASACOR Minas Gerais 2022 , comes from the natural way in which the interior and exterior are integrated. At the foot of Serra do Curral, in Belo Horizonte, the project enhances the natural landscape through of hand-woven doors, which not only invite nature inside, but also contribute to air circulation and eliminate the need for artificial lights during the day.
The name "Sui" comes from the Latin expression
Sui Generis and conveys the idea of particularity in respect of individual differences.
The structure of the residence is entirely suspended and sits smoothly on the land. Exploring
textures and
natural elements ,
lots of greenery and
neutral tones , the spaces were designed to enjoy the day with a summer climate.
