After a 13-year hiatus, the
BLOCO Arquitetos , by partners Daniel Mangabeira, Henrique Coutinho and Matheus Seco, returns to
CASACOR Brasília , opened to the public in the last week of August. The concept created by the architects for the space "
São Geraldo 40 anos " was based on the idea of creating an
immersive experience for the visitor through a space whose design reflects the
three fundamental values that have guided the company in its four decades of history:
Resilience , Innovation and
Relationships. The theme of this year's exhibition, "
Body and Home ", is directly related to the work of
São Geraldo , which has been working with materials related to “living” for 4 decades. "All spaces are
passage environments, therefore, we wanted to exacerbate the experience of the 'body' journey through a
continuous walk through different spaces that use sound and image to explore our impressions about the company's values. Therefore, body and home are the basis of what we present", explains
Henrique Coutinho , partner at BLOCO.
The materials used reinforce the
identity of each of the environments, but the message to be transmitted aims to go beyond that. Just as the history of São Geraldo mixes with the
image of Brasília , the 230 m² space aims to “mix” different understandings, contained in different interpretations according to the
individual experience of each visitor.
In addition to São Geraldo, materiality permeated the use of
Sollus Shell and
Sixties coverings from Decortiles , and a ceramic brick from
Del Fávero. In this context, BLOCO's proposal was guided by the
desire to tell this story through an installation that explored the
limits between
architecture and
art , between figurative and abstract representation, uniting
sound, light and
materiality in representative environments for the trajectory of San Geraldo.
Interactive , the environment will serve as a stage for
actions during the exhibition period, such as an exhibition of furniture from Brasilia, a fashion show, activities for children, lectures and other uses.

Tickets: R$ 90.00 (full) and R$ 45.00 (half for students, teachers, PWD, people with autism and aged 60 or over with document). Children up to 12 years old are free. Presentation of card/proof/identity document is mandatory.
