What's the secret to creating a cozy bedroom? For architects
Camila Simbalista and Paula Wetzel from
STUDIO 021 , choosing
wood , from natural oak panels to solid wood floors, and
indirect lighting is the key to a perfect bedroom.
The project was signed for
CASACOR Rio de Janeiro 2023, with the proposal to revamp one of the original rooms of the iconic
Brando Barbosa Residence , headquarters of the exhibition.
The architects preserved many of the original features of the space, such as
double-height ceilings ,
generous window frames and the floor itself, but decided to create a contemporary proposal with
national design pieces.
The
neutral color palette ,
indirect lighting and the use of
different textures bring warmth and a residential bedroom atmosphere, which invites you to stay.
