In the 70 m² living and dining room, it is possible to contemplate Brazilianness through the decoration planned down to the last detail, such as the design pieces, which reveal a precious curation of national design. In the space, it is possible to see pieces by Aristeu Pires , Ronald Sasson , Maria Candida Machado , Arthur Casas , Alfio Lisi and Lairana . Special mention goes to the Gisele armchair , designed by Aristeu Pires, which won the 21st Museu da Casa Brasileira Design Award.
Furthermore, the space also invites you to discover Brazil's natural wealth through textures, with materials such as cotton rope, straw, natural leather and jequitibá and freijó laurel wood , typically Brazilian. The freijó panels that cover the walls and ceiling of the space are intended to be easy to disassemble, aligning the space with sustainable principles . "I designed straight lines, with larger panels, precisely so that I could make better use of the wood in other projects after the exhibition ", says the architect.
Finally, the association of the space with Guimarães Rosa's masterpiece also appears in Coral 's water-based terracotta paint, called Grandes Sertões. Ceiling fan with natural straw blades, bamboo blinds, Brazilian marble, reclaimed wood and arrangement of dried annatto complete the very Brazilian and eco-friendly choices.
