From the ancient roots of Arab architecture to CASACOR São Paulo 2026, the muxarabi tradition arrives at the São Paulo showcase in a contemporary reading that values the present time. At Galeria Muxarabi, a space designed by Favaro Arquitetos, the openwork patterns appear in steel, uniting light, form, and sensoriality.

This year, featured for the first time at the entrance of the showcase, Muxarabi demonstrates the versatility of these elements and their possibilities of application in architecture and interior design, which go far beyond partitions. It is the perfect balance between technique and sensitivity. "The muxarabi has always been a guardian of atmosphere. From Eastern narratives to its expansion through the Iberian Peninsula, its essence is to make the project breathe, safeguarding intimacy and filtering the view to the outside," says Chady Boscariol, CEO of Muxarabi.

In the project, the scenography with openwork metallic panels, created by architects José Luiz Favaro and Yuri Matsui Ramos, subtly wraps around the entire perimeter of the showcase (about 400 m), without covering the historic buildings (a requirement of heritage protection agencies) or isolating CASACOR from the context of Parque da Água Branca.

In addition, the intervention also used the same metal sheets to create an entrance gallery nearly 20 m long, covered and slightly labyrinthine, providing plays of light and shadow that function as a transition between the Park area and the exhibition space. Because they were installed in a zigzag pattern, the sheets are self-supporting, fixed on concrete footings so that they are only superimposed on the floor.

Silent luxury and exclusivity

For Chady Boscariol, the brand's arrival at CASACOR São Paulo 2026 consolidates its presence among the great names in the segment. "We brought to the event more than applied engineering and superior finishing. We brought poetry in the form of metal, in an atmosphere that should transform visitors' view of design," she adds, highlighting the natural quality of muxarabis to provide, in a balanced way, grandeur and warmth, throughout the ages.
