Designed by Gregory Copello for CASACOR São Paulo 2022, the project combines different textures and features designer furniture

Known as the “White City”, Ostuni is a commune in the Puglia region of southern Italy, famous for its narrow streets lined with whitewashed houses that are painted with lime every year.

Here, on the other side of the Atlantic, it served as inspiration for architect Gregory Copello to design, for CASACOR São Paulo 2022 , Estúdio Ostuni, a complete residential loft , measuring just 34 m², with a fully integrated living room, kitchen and suite .

The space's décor is predominantly white and off-white , but the architect added elements that give the project a more contemporary feel, such as touches of gray and black, for example.

Highlights include the white brick walls , the exposed raw concrete beam, the steel cobogó partition and the natural carbon steel fireplace .

In terms of furniture , thesofa , double bed and bedside lamp were designed by the architect especially for the project.

“This studio embodies much of what I understand as a Private Infinity . The ideal is that it be, at the same time, a place for contemplating beauty and conducive to introspection, to connecting with oneself,” says Gregory.

“It also proves that it is possible to mix different materials and textures in the same space and still achieve clean and subtle architecture , which gives us that pleasant feeling of belonging and welcome”, he concludes.
