Matheus Lima - Sans Tache. In his first participation in the show, Matheus Lima, the youngest professional in this edition, chose specific pieces with striking designs for his project, such as the 4-meter-long pink sofa. “It contrasts with the entire composition of the living room, which has a very masculine concept and a darker feel,” explains the designer. The scenic lighting and the curved dark wood slats that surround the space reinforce the intimate and dramatic atmosphere. The name that inspired the space's project came from the painting by artist Gabriel Wickbold. In French, it means 'without stains'.

With a good touch of drama, the intimate room designed by Matheus features a work by Wickbold on one of the main walls, which is a critique of the desire to erase the scars acquired throughout life . Lighting helps to create the mood of the environment. Neon lights are an allusion to the exits we find in difficult moments in life. “There is a certain discomfort in the air, a way I found to say that even with scars it is worth living . There is always a way out and a path”, explains the designer.
The intimate atmosphere also comes from the use of wood covering the walls. “I wanted to bring a New York feel with the presence of lots of wood and the large fireplace. It’s an incredible space to enjoy in the fall and winter ,” he says. For the furniture, Matheus chose pieces with a striking design . The soft pink sofa stands out, bringing a touch of lightness. To complement the look, the imposing Wing armchair and the Mush table , created by Jader Almeida. The sculpture-lamp designed by Matheus also draws attention: a bucket with dripping paint painted gold made from 3D printing . The piece represents the overflow of life and happiness in its essence, according to the designer.
