The inspiration for the
Estar Centro Cerâmico could not be more surprising. MHM Estúdio made a connection between Minas Gerais and Japan for its
Janelas CASACOR project, Ribeirão Preto edition . From the distant East, the professionals take the harmony and balance of the traditional ritual of tea and, from Minas, comes all the warmth of personal relationships and informality.
In decorative terms, the intersection between these two realities is materialized on the table, a place that centralizes meetings, conversations and is also a fundamental part of the tea ceremony. In the Living Room, the protagonist is the versatile Vbox, designed by Isabella Vecci, a wooden piece. with colorful and geometric details on the top.
An interesting aspect of the space is that the occupants, like the Japanese, sit on the floor instead of in armchairs and chairs. This proximity to the ground alludes to the idea of connection with one's origins. “In our room, people sit on the ground to talk and eat, which creates a connection with each person’s roots”, explain the professionals.
To create an essential and tranquil atmosphere, a more opaque color palette was used, consisting of earthy and yellowish tones. “The balanced Carved Stone connects us back to the simple things. It is the basis for Earth, which evokes stability, and Cappuccino, which brings the contemporary. A combination that creates a warm and optimistic feeling, values the past and sees the relevance of the future”, highlights the Studio.
