The harmony between comfort and contemporaneity suggested by this year's CASACOR theme is completely in line with what architect and designer Karolinna Venturi proposes in her work. Leading the project for the Casa Store at CASACOR Paraná 2021 , the architect opted for a modern space, full of organic lines and textures , in contrast to a totally vintage ambiance , composed of pieces from the collection of the Curitiba store Coisas de Família – Histórias Que Decoram, which works with pieces from all eras, originating from family collections. " Lightness is something I try to incorporate into all my work. To create that pleasant feeling of being in a balanced and harmonious space, of being in an environment that feels good," explains the architect. (Eduardo Macarios/CASACOR)
All the walls are curved and modeled in flexible drywall , resulting in a light and fluid environment . For the ceiling, Karol Venturi opted for a modern version of a classic of Arab architecture , a squared mashrabiya panel with rounded edges. (Eduardo Macarios/CASACOR)
In order to create a balanced environment, where textures complement each other, Karol Venturi chose Athos porcelain tiles from Roca Cerâmica for the flooring, with a slightly satin and matte finish. Maintaining the light and contemporary touch of the project, the walls were decorated with burnt cement texture in sand tone, in addition to skirting boards modeled in curved plaster.
