The kitchen occupies the center of the proposal for the Casa Boa Vista Deca project, created by the duo Linda Martins and Linda Cris Araújo from the Maraú Design Studio for the CASACOR Minas Gerais 2025. More than just a place for preparing food, the space reflects the vigorous trend of living kitchens, a symbol of the new way of living, where architecture values connections, memory, and shared time. With 68 m² distributed between living, library, and home office, the project is inspired by contemporary Minas Gerais farms and proposes an affectionate home, governed by the desire for meeting, experience, and presence. Deca, a reference in innovation, design, and functionality for metals and sanitary ware in kitchens and bathrooms, presents solutions that materialize this vision.

The two sinks installed on the functional countertop - the Funstation, with accessories that fit into the piece, optimize food preparation, and encourage socialization, and the Facile Round 40 cm - are examples of this harmony between architecture, sophistication, and well-being. Both pieces come accompanied by modern single-lever faucets, including the Chrome Level Gourmet Single-Lever and the Deca Inside Single-Lever. Functionality is enhanced with 90 cm Organizer Channels and the Retractable Shower, strategically positioned to facilitate the maintenance of the herb garden near the window, reinforcing the idea of a lively and integrated space. "The Casa Boa Vista Deca translates this essence of a place for coexistence with solutions that combine practicality and design, like the Funstation Sink, which is used from food preparation to the time of serving guests," says Helga Dias Junqueira, Marketing and Branding manager of the brand. According to her, this is possible because the model comes with accessories like a cutting board, mat, and containers that facilitate organization and still allow serving snacks in a practical and elegant way. The Retractable Deca Inside Faucet can be hidden inside the sink, enlarging the area of the countertop and the space for interaction. "These are details that reflect Deca's commitment to innovation and well-being," she adds.

In the multifunctional island, extending five meters, the cooking, dining, and wine tasting zones are integrated. The central piece brings elegance and rusticity, clad in Fossil Petra Mate (the new category of sintered stone from Portinari), with a monolithic finish and chamfered details that emphasize the lightness and sophistication of the material. A detail: above the dining table, the pendant lamp, designed by the studio itself, was made from leftover cuts from the countertop.

The project also brings together affective elements, such as family memories, travel photographs, and works from the Galeria Murilo Castro. The welcoming atmosphere gains support with panels coated with sheets in the Lana pattern from Duratex, which creates a visual effect similar to the texture of linen. The furniture combines authorial pieces and creations from Jader Almeida, bringing identity and freshness to the project.

Installed at the back of the space, the wine cellar is structured from a partition made with the Hana lattice element, designed by Alex Hanazaki, creating a sophisticated and functional visual effect. On the floor, the Maracangalha porcelain tile from Portinari appears in two formats: the 10x10 cm tiles frame the island area like a rug, while the large format (1.20 x 1.20 m) marks the rest of the project. "The Casa Boa Vista Deca is a tribute to the Minas Gerais lifestyle, where time runs differently and family coexistence is essential. We envisioned a space that was elegant, functional, and above all, affectionate. The kitchen is the thread that runs through this experience," concludes interior designer Linda Martins.
