Deca Experience , an environment designed by architect
Miguel Gustavo for
CASACOR Brasília 2022 , was inspired by
ethnic themes with a sensorial idea , where the visitor will be impacted upon entering the space due to the natural materials used.
The 130
m2 SPA presents a
perfect connection between raw materials, such as
wood and stone, with the
functional design of crockery, metals and other solutions that enhance the aesthetics of environments designed for the
well-being of the body and mind. The use of
earthy tones in
furniture and
decorative objects stands out. A helmet originating from a tribe in the
Ivory Coast adorns the large coffee table. A canvas on the wall shows a large-scale photograph of the piece, captured by photographer
Clausen Bonifácio .
A bench of sleepers, brought from Minas Gerais, divides the spaces with a wall formed by
suspended eucalyptus biribas . Intended for total relaxation, the
bathtub with Deca Senses internal step ,
in Almond color, it prioritizes
ergonomics and
comfort , in a true immersion bath.
In the same setting, a large
water mirror houses an installation that enhances the proposal for
physical and mental reconnection . Miguel shares
fond memories of his first participation in the show and the importance of signing this project for
Deca. “19 years ago, I was a young architect making my debut at
CASACOR Brasília and, to my delight, my project won the
Deca Bathroom Dream award, an award that brought prominence and great visibility. Since then, I have been participating continuously. Signing the brand’s space in the 30th anniversary edition is very significant, a
celebration of my trajectory with Deca and the exhibition”, says the architect.
