Coral celebrates the boldness of colors in CASACOR São Paulo projects
Painting walls and ceilings is one of the most interesting solutions to express personality and transform spaces. As the official paint and sponsor of CASACOR São Paulo, Coral, the decorative paint brand from AkzoNobel, makes its mark in over 70 projects in the 2025 edition of the São Paulo exhibition. From velvety neutrals to vibrant orange tones, passing through a palette of greens and blues with diverse saturations, the choices of architects and designers gain prominence, revealing trends in contemporary living. "CASACOR is a unique opportunity for exchange with professionals in the field and to show the public how paint is an element of decoration and transformation of projects. Throughout these ten editions of partnership, in which we have curated all the spaces of the exhibition together with the architects, we are happy to contribute to making it more colorful, promoting striking sensations through the colors, textures, and effects – including our pre-launch – used on walls and ceilings, in harmony with various styles," says Tamara Lacivita de Goes, Marketing Manager Brazil of AkzoNobel. Under the theme "Sowing Dreams", the exhibition takes advantage of colors as a tool to tell stories and exalt their emotional effect on architecture and design. Beyond the tones, Coral takes advantage of the noble space to make a pre-launch. The novelty is a natural stone effect that will be available in three versions: fine, medium, and thick, which gives versatility to the product, capable of adapting to various styles. The presentation to consumers is scheduled for the second semester, but those who pass by CASACOR will see it firsthand.

The architect Mauricio Arruda signs the project Casa Coral, in which he used colors to tell a warm story full of Brazilian identity, where art and craftsmanship share the same status, national design is unanimous, and the treasure hunt invites a more maximalist and fun outlook. With the help of dye flora researcher Maibe Maroccolo, the partner of TODOS Arquitetura chose ten tones (from a palette of sixty) to fill walls and ceilings. The welcoming result captivates visitors. In the entrance hall, the new natural stone effect, in the medium version – the only one of the projects in the exhibition with this thickness – is in the color Castanha Ribeirinha. "The new finish brings a great tactile appeal to the wall, managing connection and a more natural and organic aspect to the surfaces," explains Mauricio Arruda. To compose this entire atmosphere, the palette includes neutrals, brownish tones, and yellowish greens, among others. In the dining room, the color is Tâmara. In the living room, Areia de Canoa.

Also advocates for a gentler outlook on Brazil, Eloy and Felipe Fichberg, from the office Fichberg Arquitetura e Interiores, design the functional bathroom Déjà Vu, where they combine Art Nouveau style with the exuberance of national fauna, flora, and culture, creating a contemplative nook that invites introspection and connection with nature. Among the standout elements are the colorful stained-glass windows, vibrant mosaics, and handcrafted tiles. The project features the new natural stone effect from Coral in the color Boneco de Cera. "This new finish can create exactly the aesthetic we were looking for, bringing this vintage feel and, at the same time, a rusticity, an innovation. It helps to highlight the differences of this space and the pictures, the elements we have here. So, it can bring this modernity and rusticity at the same time, connecting the past and the present," comments Felipe. In the same fine version of the thickness of the components, the new finish can also be seen in the project Sopro, by Beatriz Quinelato, in the color Couro Amarelado; in Loft Alvorá, by Paula Neder, in the color Pilar; and in the room Eternum Vitae, of La Rous Studio, in the color Fio de Linho.

Meanwhile, Casa Viva by Henrique Freneda, a tiny house of 30 m², reflects a contemporary, sustainable, and affective lifestyle. Its wooden structure is enclosed with glass, making the surrounding garden a prominent presence. "The new effect from Coral fits my project very well. I chose the tone Névoa, a light green just to complement the landscaping, with the full integration of the garden within the project. I wanted to bring this idea of the house being well exposed, which is also why there is a lot of glass for the garden to embrace the house. It is a house that was built entirely using sustainable methods, and this finish appealed to me greatly due to its rustic appearance of little stones, yet at the same time very well-defined," explains the architect. In the same thick version, the new finish is also present in the first functional bathroom of the circuit, in the project Respiro by Luciana Moreno, in the color Campo Nevado; and in the bar signed by André Bastos and Pedro Luiz de Marqui, in the color Vestido de Cetim. Each wall of the projects contains a Coral tag identifying the shade used. Those interested in renovating their house can take advantage of the CASACOR coupon, which gives a 15% discount on the purchase of paints on the brand's website. CASACOR São Paulo remains open until August 3rd.
