As the name suggests, the “ My Blue World ” environment, created by Bruno Carvalho for CASACOR São Paulo 2018, is an ode to blue: present in the furniture, walls and ceiling, the tone appears in different nuances in the 50 m² and creates a serene space, perfect for relaxation and a good read. “I chose this color because it reminds me of the sea and the sky, which symbolize rest, travel and discovering new places,” explains the designer. Various techniques and materials appear on the walls: above the fireplace, fluted panels evoke the movement of waves; in the hallway, matte and glossy paints create vertical lines in the carpentry and, in the rest of the library, boiseries give a classic air to the project. Aware of the changes that technology has brought about in reading platforms, Bruno prioritized the creation of comfortable spaces – places to read a tablet, for example – over spaces to store books. But that doesn’t mean that the works are no longer highlighted: more than 100 books are displayed on golden shelves, all of them painted in shades of blue and orange. The furniture highlights include the large feather sofa and the handmade Murano wall lamps. The photo frames, which depict swimming pools and ocean waves, are by Yuri Seródio, Flávia K and José Guedes. For those who visit the environment in person, there is another surprise: the songs that accompany the space soundtrack were mixed with sounds of water and air. CASACOR SERVICE SAO PAULO 2018 WHEN?
