The name
Origens Portinari could not be more accurate: in his project for
CASACOR São Paulo 2023 , landscaper
Alex Hanazaki tells the story of the creative journey, starting with the experience of emptiness, moving on to the transformation of raw materials, until arriving at the final product, which combines art and technology. It is a journey interconnected by four distinct environments, which transits through different styles of Brazilian landscape architecture. “
The main message is to encourage reflection on the transformation of raw materials, associated with technology, into Portinari products . A path through the path. Architecture cannot be created without earth, water and fire.
Portinari cannot be created without earth, water and fire,” he explains.
Right at the entrance hall, there is an anticlimax: the space with illuminated words is an invitation to disconnect from the outside world and enter the Portinari universe. From there, the visitor can already glimpse the large garden, an environment that highlights the presence of the
earth element, the essential raw material from which all others spring.
The flooring throughout the space is covered with Portinari's Lounge collection, inspired by Perlino Grey stone, which highlights gray tones with veins and small fragments that result in a unique beauty. The porcelain tile is suitable for all types of residential environments and for commercial spaces with medium traffic. Water and earth are materials that meet through a process:
fire . And this is the element of the third environment, which is accompanied by landscaping with far from obvious choices until reaching
Praça Portinari , the highlight of the project, which offers sensory experiences accompanied by soundtracks and distinct aromas.
The square symbolizes the city of São Paulo, from avant-garde to technology.
It is a scenic garden created with sculptural totems made of slabs, forming a large installation with different lines and sizes. The sensation of spaciousness is in the shape of the pieces themselves, which reach 320 cm. The grandeur of the slabs lies in their functionality and beauty, which adds design and refinement to the environment.
In the background,
a large structure made of cobogós surrounds the entire space . The coverings were made exclusively for CASACOR, in warm tones, bringing life to the composition in a harmonious way. There is also a Japanese beauty, in the subtlety of the melancholic photography. “We are the meeting of essences, senses and emotions. You can’t create landscape architecture without earth, water and fire. This is the origin of everything. It’s when the earth moves, the water flows and the fire transforms. This is how we create art, the art of living life,” concludes Hanazaki.
