CASACOR Sergipe 2022 takes place until December 11th, at Castelinho , a 20th century mansion located in the Industrial neighborhood of Aracaju. With the theme Private Infinity , the second edition of the Sergipe show features 32 environments, designed by 46 professionals, that promise the public a unique experience, in yet another edition of the largest architecture, design and landscaping event in the Americas. Check out some of the spaces below.
01/32 -
Ana Porto - Gardens of the Guard House. The landscaper designed a space that functions as a lounge and reception area for the CASACOR Sergipe environments. Her inspiration was the boundless infinity, a garden that extends to the immensity of the Sergipe River. The project was conceived as a possibility of integrating the interior with the exterior, through the glass wall, which proposes social communication between visitors. The space received vegetation with colors, shapes and textures appropriate to the open environment, excavation material and ornamental stone.

02/32 -
Isa Ribeiro and Gleide Belfort - Estar com Versos. An intimate space with shapes and colors to stimulate the memory of residents who love poetry. This is how the design duo defines the versatile environment, where its owners can receive guests, work, listen to music, enjoy a good wine and, of course, read and write poetry. The home office was purposefully positioned in front of the window with a privileged view of the Aracaju/Barra dos Coqueiros bridge, from where it is possible to contemplate the beautiful landscape. The furniture mixes straight and organic shapes and the neutral color palette contrasts with the wooden floor from the beginning of the 20th century.

03/32 -
Hertha Dantas - Living refletIR. Measuring 45 m², the living room with a sculptural balcony of the iconic “little castle” house from the early 20th century preserves the existing structure and materials, bringing spatial and design solutions that reflect the different “selves” in the particular infinity. They spread throughout the layout, multiply through the repetition of shapes and objects, and are tied together through the layers of the new over the old. Upon entering, a curved design with a touch of light from the Ferrão lamp sharpens the discovery of the living room, which reveals itself to be conceptual, modern, and minimalist, through the open space layout. The sideboard/bar with an authorial design “emerges” as a link in this integration between the uses, dining and living. The Cisa round table by designer Ronald Sasson and the Belgian yarn rug from the Via Star Collection UP Designer reflect the integration of shapes. Finally, the walls receive a new layer, with emphasis on the preservation of the iconic exposed brick wall.

04/32 -
Gabi Martins - Lavatory in. Ethnicity blends with nature in less than 8 m² in the lavatory where comfort is the watchword. A wooden capsule embraces the room and shares space with a living wall, bringing nature into the home. Natural stones, such as raw granite, worked in a bold and unusual way were used, attesting to a timeless and unpretentious ambiance. Sophisticated tones in accessories lend elegance, while signed art pieces elevate the refinement, offering a sensorial experience to visitors to this charming space.

05/32 -
ROC Arquitetura - Entre_laços. The space has a repertoire based on environments intimately experienced in childhood, translated by the choice of materials and objects, such as the ironwood panel, furniture and affective pieces. The particular infinity is presented in the details, in every corner and in the feelings that exude emotions. The environment, which is an ode to ancestry, is a cozy and contemporary reinterpretation of a large TV room, in homage to the grandmothers of architects Amanda Aragão and Marcella Macêdo.

06/32 -
Renata Dantas and Elso Moisinho - Varanda Arquiteta Maria Conceição. Inspired by the city of Aracaju and the people who defend it, the IAB, the oldest institution of Architects, pays homage to the architect Maria Conceição Prado, who started the institute's trajectory in Sergipe. The environment refers to characteristics intrinsic to the city: the carpet recalls the coast and buildings due to its contrast and shapes, the currently scarce mangroves were represented with a reinterpretation of the vegetation, and the stepped bookshelf and the chair with earthy tones relate to the arches of the Orla de Atalaia.

07/32 -
Kelly Ribeiro - Creative Studio: Art & Affection. The architect was inspired by emotions to create this space: an environment created to bring feeling, delicacy and warmth to those who pass by, valuing the poetic and artistic aspects of handmade objects, as well as showing the versatility of materials. The project brings together several artists, with a diversity of creations, paying homage to everyone involved.

08/32 -
Alane Medeiros - Suite 44. The environment is inspired by respect, memories, luggage and the importance of looking at each project in a unique and individualized way. The space is an invitation, through architecture, to look at everything that makes up, feeds and is part of the history of life, affective memory, past and present. The current moment has intensely connected people to home, reinforcing the importance of private and family refuge. The suite is an environment with affection, which values the preservation of roots and good memories, corroborating the need to balance fashion with older references full of value.

09/32 -
Junior Ordonez - Espaço Ceres. The kitchen is the heart of the home. It is the space that embraces, welcomes, and brings the whole family together for a special moment, especially in the last few years of the pandemic when the family has become closer and more united. The charming and inviting space is called 'Espaço Ceres', which, in Roman mythology, is the goddess of plants that sprout, especially grains, and maternal love. Her representation comes through the materials used: natural straw, mimicked earthy tones, the space with the same texture on the wall and ceiling, and the palette of the coverings. The honed granite countertop shows the real appearance of the rock alongside the natural freijó furniture.

10/32 -
Tahinara Sanferry - Being of the Birds. Despite being external, this environment was designed to be a living/home, with the same comfort and warmth as an internal area. It is an invitation to relax, a place to listen to music, drink wine and enjoy. The living room was also designed to be a gathering space for friends and family. The project materials were inspired by nature, to create maximum resemblance to the birds' natural habitat. Wood, plants and natural stones were used, bringing comfort. The project is a tribute to the architect's daughter and was the artist's way of bringing even more love to the environment.

11/32 -
Paula Cardinalle Nunes Aragão - Studio Loft. Modern, young and stylish. This is how the space can be summed up, which brings together the versatility of technological materials and a creative execution of the project. With 17 years of experience in the Sergipe market, the architect bets on a compact space, without giving up comfort and all the needs of a single man who works, studies, practices sports, loves wine and reading and needs to bring all this routine together in his own private infinite.

12/32 -
Gustavo Leão Architect - Guard House. The lounge and reception area references the castle's entrance, a strong and resistant building, and that is where the idea for the exhibition's internal ticket office came from. The space, measuring over 320 m², has places for contemplation, meeting points, waiting areas for applications, a reception area, a ticket office for internal access control and valet parking. Since the idea is for the space to have a function that goes beyond that of a passageway, the project features the lounge, a terrace that is a kind of preamble to the other areas.

13/32 -
Licia Acioli and Lucia Helena - The ground we tread on. The duo from the YBY architecture and design office designed the public bathroom and the bathroom hall, which were designed for the current moment, when it is necessary to express emotions and demystify standards. The space features natural elements that reflect the contemporary style of the project and harmonize with the modernity and technology present in the finishes. The project features works by visual artist Mônica Schneider and Brazilian elements.
(Gabriela Daltro)
14/32 -
Luiz Marcel and Jota Lisboa - il cuore della casa. The neoclassical features of this early 20th century mansion inspired the designers at DDesign to uncover its unique infinity through a trip to the old continent, in search of a Tuscan identity for the 35 m² kitchen, called 'Il Cuore Della Casa'. For this edition of CASACOR Sergipe, the duo used natural materials, organic shapes and neutral and earthy tones, which move through space and time, towards a modern and functional kitchen, evoking the tradition that embraces the heart of the home.

15/32 -
Cris Araujo - Winemaker's Room. This informal room was designed for research and tasting sessions, for wine-soaked gatherings, or simply for a well-deserved rest. In a monochromatic style, the space contrasts sophistication with rusticity by using a variety of styles of materials and textures. The ebony panels house the winemaker's library and art collection, as well as a large projection screen that can show places around the world he has visited. The architect uses comfortable furniture in the space, highlighting the veda sofa by Victor Vasconcelos, the buffet bar designed by Jader Almeida, and the large round mirror that incorporates the visitor as a character in the space.
(Gabriela Daltro)
16/32 -
Lainy Lemos and George Machado - Jardim Casa. The project is cosiness, a space for being and being, with furniture that makes people stay and contemplate. The sinuosity in the designs, textures and colors on the walls invite visitors to the movement of the house, while at the same time providing tranquility. The lush and voluminous tropical vegetation shares the space with designer furniture and lamps that add a special touch to the space. The eucalyptus brings warmth and the work of art by artist Fábio Sampaio brings urban art to the garden, so infinite in possibilities.
(Gabriela Daltro)
17/32 -
Wesley Lemos - Living Outside Rio Sergipe. The 100 m² living room promotes interaction between interpersonal relationships and nature. It is a space created for good conversations, to welcome architects, visitors, brands and products. A place for parties, meetings and gatherings by CASACOR Sergipe. Using colorful elements from the outside area, a contrast with the industrial style of the Castelinho and the location of the Sergipe River, the space rescues the freedom of “being free”. The premise was to create a room “outside the house”, highlighting the chimney of the industry, which is located at the back of the Castelinho. Materials such as metal tiles were used on the panels, burnt cement on the floor, and the wear on the wall caused by time was preserved. The use of mirrors reflects the landscaping designed by Lainy Lemos, providing well-being and sophistication to the space.

18/32 -
Aline Dantas - Espaço da Dermato. A legacy from the 1990s, the classic modernist curves, reaffirmed by the drawing board of Jânia Reis and Clarisse de Almeida, bring the feminine strength that is expressed clearly, softly and dynamically in the architecture that hovers lightly over the tropical gardens of CASACOR Sergipe 2022. Whether due to the strong influences of Niemeyer's sensual curves or the technological and international curves of Zaha Haddid, what we have in this project is a contemporary symbiosis, which contrasts and harmonizes with the historic Castelinho building. The space, which pays homage to dermatologist Thâmara Morita, was inspired by the search for dermatological treatments with advanced procedures, bringing the best to patients.
(Gabriela Daltro)
19/32 -
Marcos Brito - Athlete's Loft. The project brings a concept of integration and flexibility. The space, measuring approximately 45 m², was designed with a young and masculine style. Natural materials fill the space, reinforcing the coziness and elegance. Organic shapes with a fluid layout, consisting of an indoor and outdoor area, reflect the idea of the home as an increasingly important place in life. The palette of earthy tones and the wood-tone ceiling embrace the entire space. The environment is inviting for relaxation and the organic furniture enhances the design. The few lighting elements create a safe and cozy atmosphere, combined with abundant natural lighting, designed through the frames and openings.
(Gabriela Daltro)
20/32 -
Cristiana Cardoso - Casa de Areia SPA DECA. Like a dune that changes all the time, adapting to the world around it, the space is a reminder that life is fickle and follows a natural flow. It is an invitation to change, to the unexpected and to the certainty that everything has its right time to happen. It has 85 m² distributed in an entrance lounge, an open contemplation area and a complete suite - bedroom, bathroom and outdoor area/spa - all integrated with nature. A different spa, which leaves aside conventional inspirations to connect with the Brazilian coast through everything that is close to the beach. Natural materials were widely used, such as reforested eucalyptus, Jerusalem stone flooring, straw in the ceilings, reclaimed wood for the countertop and a neutral base for the metal collection.

21/32 -
Sape Concept - 79 HOST. The architect duo Marcelo Mabel and Vanessa Guimarães brought to CASACOR Sergipe an environment to be rented for the season, inspired by travels around the world, more specifically in accommodation, when it is impossible to have privacy. The proposal of '79.Host' is to allow, even during a short stay, that the visitor enjoys an environment with comfort, sophistication and lives a unique experience.
(Gabriela Daltro)
22/32 -
Wal Bastos - Galhardia Lavatory. The project is characterized by creativity and comfort, bringing sophistication and elegance. The space was created with accessibility and adequate infrastructure to ensure safe use. The environment was inspired by the natural beauty of the underground rivers of Riviera Maya, in Cancún. The combination of elements of classical architecture with organic architecture incorporated striking trends, bringing subtlety and refinement, representing the features present in nature in a modern and innovative way.
(Gabriela Daltro)
23/32 -
Barroso Melo and Augusta Ribeiro - Prainha Bar. Like a stroll along the river, the project is an invitation to contemplate the landscape at dusk, breathing in the fresh air. The space is surrounded by wood, natural stones, and manufactured elements with simplicity and rusticity, while also receiving sophisticated finishes and punctuated by warm colors. Lighting resources with vibrant colors and an irreverent style were installed to highlight the space. The portico that welcomes visitors was designed to create a sensory experience for the mind and body.
(Gabriela Daltro)
24/32 -
Nilson Felix - Cocoon enclosure. The reuse of materials and the use of natural and sustainable products are very present in the projects of this edition of CASACOR Sergipe. And with transformation in mind, the architect created an environment with the proposal of showing that every transformation can result in beauty. Materials such as fiber, twigs and silk were used here - all represent a certain phase, starting with the shape of the chrysalis sofa, curtains and columns that resemble the weaving of the building. The quartz countertops refer to nature and the organic ceiling resembles wings.
(Gabriela Daltro)
25/32 -
Marina Santana, Ingryd Sanders, Mayara Barcelos - Riviera Azul, a place to relax. The trio from MAÍMA Arquitetura e Design designed the space, which was inspired by the nature surrounding Castelinho, a 20th-century building where this edition of CASACOR Sergipe will be held. The space is an environment that connects with the sky and the sea. The colors of the fabrics used in the space also refer to these elements and bring a feeling of relaxation. Nature appears in the chosen vegetation and in the natural wood furniture. The environment is unpretentious, serene and inviting, where people can come and disconnect from their daily obligations, enjoying the colors and sensations of nature.
(Gabriela Daltro)
26/32 -
Vini Brandão - Cena do Rio Pâtisserie. The project proposes a setting for enjoying a good conversation during a coffee break. The environment features a fresh green as its predominant color, just like the breeze from the Sergipe River, bringing a neutral identity that dialogues with the feminine and masculine. To complete the natural sensations, the quadorna stone, suspended natural straw ceiling and furniture with nautical rope finish were used. The elements used on the deck refer to an outdoor space, located on the sidewalk of a square, a place where it is possible to enjoy the landscape and watch life go by, accompanied by an espresso and a cookie.
(Gabriela Daltro)
27/32 -
Larissa Franco - Recomeço Loft. An ideal space for those who are not afraid to dive into themselves and rediscover themselves. Inspired by the idea of starting over, the project is fully integrated and in line with what governs modern life, where private life is separated from social life. In the loft, the furniture symbolizes the comfort proposed in the project. The space also features the Renata armchair, created by designer Sérgio Rodrigues. The piece, an icon in the space, comes in navy blue fabric, with minimalism in the carpentry design, which brings practicality to the client who is starting a new chapter.

28/32 -
Ana Libório, Frederico Libório and Gândara Júnior - Esquema Cromático Fachadas. The project to restore and paint the façade of the Castelinho was carried out by the trio of architects from LibórioGândara Ateliê de Arquitetura. Inspired by the painting of the old eclectic palaces in Aracaju, built in the 1920s, reddish tones were used in the restoration of the façade, contrasting with the gray that gives it a contemporary feel. To preserve the building's age, the parapet and balusters were left. Some of the old decorative elements remained as they were, highlighting the polychrome effect left by successive layers of paint over the years. The concept of contemporary decoration highlights and allows the patina of time to shine through.

29/32 -
Marlene Freire and Marina Menezes - Welcome Lounge. Designed by architect Marina Menezes and landscaper Marlene Freire, the lounge was created to be an escape from the busy routine of everyday life, a space to feel at ease and have contact with nature, without losing comfort. A deck with modern furniture allows you to stroll through different layouts, always adapting to the needs of the moment. Whether alone to relax, read or with friends to chat and drink wine. The lounge was created to be a light, relaxed and inviting space.
(Gabriela Daltro)
30/32 -
Katia Carvalho - Private Infinite Balcony. With the aim of rethinking the hustle and bustle of everyday life and proposing a slowdown, this balcony is an inviting space for relaxation and welcoming. Organic and rounded shapes, which establish a direct connection with nature, appear in the objects and curved furniture, such as the cozy nautical rope swing. The plant pots are made from 100% recycled material and the certified wood also counts towards sustainability. The appreciation of regional crafts and planned lighting deserve to be highlighted in the proposal for a serene but lively environment.
(Gabriela Daltro)
31/32 -
Thiago Collares - Entrance hall. Designed to welcome the century-old mansion, the Castelinho, the project aims to convey the essence and identity of the architect's work. Natural walnut wood panels line the walls of the room, combined with mashrabiyas that indirectly illuminate the ceiling and the upper part of the walls. The semicircular mirror creates an unusual effect with its reflected image, forming a large circle. The piece, combined with the photograph by Leonardo Santana, completes the room, creating a contemplative, elegant and sensorial space. The design choice is noteworthy, with the Gio armchair by Sérgio Rodrigues; the Potence Wall Lamp by Jean Prouvé and the Snoop table lamp by Floss.
(Gabriela Daltro)
32/32 -
Ágora Arquitetos - CASA siri'y-pe. The duo Ândrea Fonseca and Maicon Amorim, from the Ágora Arquitetos office, designed the living room 'Casa siri 'y-pe', which, in Tupi Guarani, means 'river of crabs'. The architects were inspired by the landscape of the Sergipe River, seen from the balcony of Castelinho, for the organic nature, colors and natural elements present in the living room design. The colors and natural elements of the landscape are represented in the design, in the organic shape of the curved wall in crushed natural stone texture, in the dome ceiling, in the indigenous Xokós ceramics, in the furniture with sinuous shapes, in the organic rug in natural leather, in the Monoblock table of authorial design, providing a biophilic and contemporary concept of the new living and feeling.
(Gabriela Daltro)
