CASACOR Santa Catarina | Florianópolis 2024: check out the 29 projects!
The exhibition returns to an old hotel surrounded by nature and the environments are inspired by the lightness of water and reflections on the future of the planet
Known worldwide for the beauty of its natural refuges, Florianópolis, the capital of Santa Catarina, hosts another edition of CASACOR, from September 29 to November 24. The largest and most complete exhibition of architecture, interior design, landscaping and art in the Americas offers the public 29 environments inspired by the calm and lightness of the waters of Baía Norte da Ilha, in the João Paulo neighborhood, one of the most stunning landscapes in the state. Check out all the environments below!
01/29 -
Ana Trevisan I Living Spaces - Praça O Futuro É Ancestral. The wisdom and learning of indigenous peoples inspired this space. Several plant species were chosen to activate our fauna and flora in search of reconnection with nature and the past. In the space, the furniture focused on well-being is combined with the demarcated circular areas, recalling the huts, and thus creating meeting points. The winding path that leads to the entrance door is guided by the graphics of indigenous tattoos. And in this rescue of ancestry, the Healing Garden presents medicinal species that remind us of past knowledge.

02/29 -
Boulevard Arquitetura - Ether. Ether arises from the interaction of the four elements – earth, water, fire and air – reflecting our individuality and emotions. Earth symbolizes stability and materiality; water, fluidity and adaptation; fire, transformation and energy; and air, lightness and clarity. Ether, as the fifth element, connects and harmonizes all of them, representing the energy and space that permeate the universe, integrating the physical and the spiritual. Our proposal aims to promote a reconnection with the inner being, providing fulfillment and balance.

03/29 -
Meta Interiors - Metamorphosis. Based on the five elements of Feng Shui - fire, earth, metal, water and wood - the environment transforms, promoting an energetic balance that constantly evolves and provides a feeling of peace and well-being. Just like the metamorphosis of a butterfly, each element contributes to change and growth, harmonizing with soft tones and natural materials. Furniture with organic lines facilitates the flow of energy, inviting introspection and relaxation, promoting a deep and evolutionary connection between body and mind.

04/29 -
Studio M Arquitetura e Interiores - Casa To pass through a response to time. Each new dawn is an invitation to live fully, making good use of the most precious treasure we have: time. Each day is a blank page waiting to be filled with stories of love, kindness and courage. It is up to us, navigators in this ocean of hours and minutes, to pass through moments as a gift, honoring the past, celebrating the present and building a future that echoes beyond the limits of time.

05/29 -
Matheus Xavier - Despertar Suites. The Despertar Suites redefine the concept of well-being and comfort in a modern and sophisticated retreat. Comprising three suites, this space was carefully designed for a young couple who find the perfect balance between a busy life and moments of peace with their beloved pets in the tranquility of home. The DESPERTAR space is more than just a set of suites: it is a sensory experience that connects the present with the now. Here, each awakening is a new beginning, and each night of sleep is a step towards the dreams that will shape tomorrow.

06/29 -
Junior Guarezi - A haven of waves. The calm and lightness that the sea transmits came to these spaces in a sober and clear way. The waves show us movement and renewal. Designed for rest, the spaces are true refuges, those places that, when we close our eyes, we want to be, to escape all the chaos of a routine and hectic life. In every detail there is a story: the story of real people, who bring their experiences and their baggage.

With surprising elements that bring innovation and sustainability as a basis, Casa Concha celebrates the power of meetings that rescue and generate memories of affection, leaving as a legacy the construction of a future of connections and love.

08/29 -
Octaedro Arquitetura - Workshop of Tomorrow. In a space designed to contemplate and welcome, with a contemporary and poetic narrative, the project proposes the occupation of the house-studio through the fluid connection between the arts, the naturalness of its elements and the important relationship with the landscape and local culture. The idea is that today is the time we have, and that we cannot see ahead without our feet in the present. The present is, solely, time to think, dream and build tomorrow, as the creators that we are.

09/29 -
Terraço Paisagismo - Raízes. "We imagine the environment as more than a passage to our history, but a window to our ancestry. This is the essence of our concept: to direct our gaze to the natural beauty that has always surrounded us, connecting us with the deep roots of our existence. Our space fills more than a void, it enters a vast repository of memories, experiences and legacies that shape who we are," says the office.

10/29 -
Michael Zanghelini - Casa Atma. Atma is the highest human principle, the divine essence itself, formless and indivisible. In this 380 m² space, architecture and nature merge in a subtle and elegantly monochromatic way. Each passage between “inside and outside” is an opportunity for a new sensory connection. The textures embrace, the wind blows everywhere and the sound of the water reminds us that the immaterial animates matter and that it also inhabits the semantic field of breath, breath and air. It is a house that makes us realize that life is intimately linked to the cosmos and that the “self” is beyond the body and mind.

Tiago Bortolança - Divina Vista Bar and Burger Restaurant. With a privileged view of the sea and a spectacular sunset, Divina Vista Bar and Burger Restaurant offers a great experience in architecture and gastronomy operated by Divinna Mesa Burger Restaurant. The entire context of the environment favors the comfortable enjoyment of good moments in front of a naturally beautiful setting.

12/29 -
Yuri Bini and Daniela Kumagai - Ikigai. In Japanese culture, there are five elements, and just like them, the Ikigai space translates this philosophy through five distinct environments, where Daniela Kumagai's ancestry meets Yuri Bini's technology. The mezzanine is home to the podcast, while the garage is dedicated to GWM DIMAS. The café, operated by Akitutes, complements the environment, and the reception serves as the event's welcome point. Each space preserves the concept of the proposed theme, ensuring complete immersion for the user.

13/29 -
Sumar Arquitetura & Design - Rumah DECA. When designing a space, the integration between the outside and the inside is essential to provide a sense of harmony and balance. The use of organic materials, such as wood, stone, plants and water, brings nature into the home. These elements not only provide an aesthetically pleasing look, but also create a more peaceful and relaxing atmosphere, creating a truly organic space that allows energy to flow.

14/29 -
Leonardo Simões - Belonging. The feeling of belonging is the sensation of being part of a group, family or community. It is a psychological connection that is established between an individual and a group, characterized by the unity and permanence that its members experience. Belonging is associated with the recognition and the way in which each person's dignity, culture and differences are respected. The project pays homage to the city of Villa Epecuén, in Argentina, which was completely submerged for 20 years due to a flood in Lake Epecuén. Only now, 35 years later, former residents can walk among the ruins of what were once their homes.

Light tones, whites and beiges, and woods complete the color palette of the space, contributing to the concept used which is peace, tranquility and quiet.

18/29 -
Mariana Maisonnave - Origin. With a reflection on everything that endures beyond time, the architect brings to the space a collection of symbolic elements that tell stories and seek to pay homage to the ORIGIN of what shaped it until NOW. The centennial olive trees, as a central point, remind us that in order to be alive with such robustness, they went through a process of continuous and gradual growth for decades. The trees are a tribute to the professional's mother, who underwent cancer treatment, in which she gave up part of her body to stay alive. Just as an olive tree, when pruned, grows back from its roots.

Studio Guilherme Garcia - Casa Perene. Imagine being transported from the cave age to today's world. You wake up in a modern space, where the light is controlled with a touch and the heat comes from invisible machines. The walls are not cold and damp, but vibrant and full of history. You learn to speak with complex words, dress in sophisticated fabrics and try new flavors. Surrounded by enigmatic objects, you realize that, despite the differences, architecture still reflects the human quest to transform the world into a home. Your challenge now is to balance primitive instinct and modern life.

The interior design was the responsibility of Beatriz Zeglin Arquitetura, which brings the atmosphere of what it is like to live on the island. Nicole Oliveira and Mary Mussatto - The phases of self-knowledge. "We suggest an immersion in a personal journey of emotions divided into three phases: beliefs, reflection and liberation. We start in the hall with a darker and more introspective atmosphere that is related to the beginning of our lives and all the precepts we have absorbed. Then we go for the washbasins with a shy mix of light and dark tones and with a contrast between aggressive and delicate shapes, which represent a moment of self-reflection, and consequently, loving yourself first", explain the professionals.

Revisit Architecture & Interiors - Wine Cellar of the Visual Artist. Architect Taiza Santos connects with the theme of this edition with a tribute to the visual artist Vera Sabino. It is no coincidence that the architect brought back from her grandmother's house a painting signed by the artist from Santa Catarina. Also at the time when she was studying architecture and practicing her drawing in art classes, she began to look more closely and admire Sabino's work. Her space is entirely inspired by the production and career of the folklorist, in 160 m² designed for the delight of connoisseurs of good labels, a special selection of corks provided by DuVino.

3P Studio + Lavínia Duzzo - Kuya'buka Restaurant. This year, CASACOR invites us to reflect on how our daily decisions impact future generations, after all, we will always be someone's ancestors. Kuya'buka is a reading of the origin of our relationship with nutrition, featuring the bowl as an object of this ancestry. The environment, operated by the CUMBUCA Restaurant, was designed to feed and nourish our perceptions, reflections and attitudes. We walk through the space experiencing the raw to the subtle, where past, present and future come together. The environment was made by many hands. Made with earth. Made with art. Made with love.

The challenge was to transform the place into an even better experience than in 2023, and we believe we have achieved this goal”, say franchisees Francis and Luiz Bernardo .
As a gift, the now
(Lio Simas/CASACOR)
In the translation of the theme “From the present, the now”, the professionals investigate ancestry and call for reflection on the possibilities of the future, given the current scenario of the planet, with the climate emergency, the issues that involve the social, environmental and economic axes of sustainability. The theme is imprinted in the lines, materials, objects and messages of the environments. The search for the past, through studies on indigenous peoples; the manifestations of Japanese culture and its deep meanings; the refined art around the theme of the timeline, are the inspirations for the professionals for this edition. With a lot of personality, the cast designed environments that are true oases of ideas, with indoor nature, affection and full of Brazilianness.
