In a time marked by many uncertainties, CASACOR Santa Catarina | Florianópolis innovates in its 2021 edition, without leaving aside the essence of the show. The cast, which mixes veteran professionals and newcomers , brings in 21 environments their interpretations of the theme " The House Original " and shows how architecture and interior design can contribute to quality of life. "It is a display of diverse interpretations, mixed with residential and commercial environments, all extremely affected by the time lived, priorities and life desires ", explains director Francis Bernardo.

Inspired by the culture and exuberance of the city of Marrakech, the interior designer combines stimulating architecture with the intimacy and sensory memories of wine in this almost stage-like space. Geometric motifs, arches, greens, golds, cords, fringes and braided trims complement the soft lighting.

A concept of traditional Japanese aesthetics, "yugen" is the expression of depth, of what cannot be translated, of the incomprehensible and the abstract that passes from philosophy to art. In this project, the yugen appears in the contrast of the shadow with the intervals of light coming from the windows and the illuminated surface of the kitchen, and the hidden landscape that eventually reveals itself.

The uniqueness of the space lies in the use of wood on the ceiling, panels and furniture, in a symbiosis with the arts. A highlight is the closet programmed by a virtual assistant.

Veredas Authorship Design - Natália Xavier. Thinking about paying homage to Brazilian designers and their works, the architect created this 70 m² living and dining room that references the work Grande Sertão: Veredas, by Guimarães Rosa. The association is present in the color of the paint (Grandes Sertões, by Coral) and in the pieces signed by Aristeu Pires, Ronald Sasson, Maria Cândida Machado, Arthur Casas, Alfio Lisi and Lairana.

Suna Reveev Bedroom - Osvaldo Segundo Arquitetos Associados. "Suna" means sand in Japanese and, as the name suggests, this bedroom seeks feelings of calm and fluidity. It celebrates imperfect beauty and the impermanence of life. The architecture features different textures and natural elements, united by light tones and sober lines. Contemporary combined with cultural roots, minimalism combined with tradition, a pure aesthetic sense based on function.

Entrance Lounge and Ticket Office - Ana Lins and Iara Rosa. To meet the needs of organizing access while respecting social distancing, a beam of light guides the queue to the entrance. From this point, visitors have access to the atrium where they are welcomed with video projections and are directed to the functional sinks for sanitization. A rectangular bench frames the frames, creating a resting space.

Freedom, translucency, movement and originality were the inspirations for this project: the walls with deep slats structured to support the memories of the house bring the sensation of infinity to the gaze of a bird searching the horizon. Rooftop 20 I 21 - Ana Trevisan | Landscaping + Architecture. In the 400 m² space, the landscaper created a cosmopolitan and contemporary atmosphere with spaces for outdoor living, framed by the view of the green slopes and the Santo Antônio bay. The garden was decorated with pots positioned in “slits” creating a green and tropical atmosphere that surrounds the space. Indirect lighting creates an intimate environment.

Those who create are born every day - Ana Trevisan | Landscaping + Architecture. The 270 m² parking lot was transformed into a square to welcome visitors and the installation of the cubes draws an analogy with the current moment, in which we need to take refuge in our homes. The winding benches are pieces designed by architect Jaime Lerner and invite us to pause for reflection. At night, the garden gains punctual and scenic lighting.

Highlights include the entrance hall with an intimate concept and a “wine lounge” design, which opens onto a large social area with a living room, dining room and kitchen. The contrast between black and white harmonizes with the wooden panels and occasional touches of gold.

The coverings and lighting design provide unique comfort, something crucial in the new times of living that we are living in.

The 2021 venue is Espaço +UM , a development on the SC-401 Highway that will simultaneously open the exhibition and promises to transform the region with a new business and entertainment hub. And this year, the event will take place in a hybrid format , that is, in person and digital: even from a distance, the public can learn about the projects through the 3D Tour, photos , videos and the digital yearbook . In this edition, the environments are designed by professionals from cities such as Joinville, Blumenau, Balneário Camboriú, Criciúma, Itajaí and Florianópolis. “We are prepared for the new challenges and we will guarantee a safe exhibition for everyone”, emphasizes director Francis Bernardo.

CASACOR SC is included in the city's official events calendar as a safe exhibition. This is because a partnership was established with Setur Floripa (Florianópolis Municipal Department of Tourism, Technology and Economic Development) to ensure safe visits, strictly following all measures sanitary facilities for the peace of mind not only of the public, but of everyone else involved. “All precautions were taken by the promoters and organizers, with the support of several City Hall departments”, points out Vini De Luca, Tourism Superintendent at Setur Florianópolis.
