The iconic Hotel Maria do Mar, in Florianópolis, is the headquarters of
CASACOR Santa Catarina 2023, which takes place from September 17 to October 29. There are 32 environments, including spaces that reflect different styles of living, business areas, commercial and gastronomic establishments and art galleries.

The iconic
Hotel Maria do Mar , founded on February 5, 1981 on the banks of the João Paulo River, was built by the business couple
Ivone Maria da Silva Pereira and
Rubens Carlos Pereira . The land where the building stands was the family's old farm, and a destination for resting on weekends.
At the time, the entrepreneurs were encouraged by the then governor
Jorge Bornhausen to build a place to host important figures from Santa Catarina and the country. And so it was during the more than 40 years of existence of Maria do Mar, a stage for celebrations, weddings, feijoadas and summer vacations in Florianópolis. Now it's time to say goodbye to the location in its current configuration. Recently acquired by
Dimas Construções , sponsor of CASACOR Santa Catarina 2023, the address will eventually become a residential building with commercial operations.
The construction company's proposal is to transform the
João Paulo neighborhood into a place to stay, offering practical services and total integration with the surrounding nature. The architectural design of the Dimas Construções project will be designed by
Nelson Teixeira . The Santa Catarina exhibition also aims to showcase the region's full potential through a route consisting of 32 spaces created by the
cast .
Each year, a central theme is launched to guide the creative processes of the cast. In 2023, the
Body & Home campaign unfolds interpretations on the impact of daily life on people's health, well-being and comfort, with repercussions across the planet. Starting from the protagonism of the body, in daily habits, in the choice of materials that make up the spaces, the relationship established with the place, and the memories that need to be preserved. The 32 environments, which occupy part of the building, manifest the unique interpretation of the participating professionals.
