More than a showcase of trends, the exhibition proposes a sensitive immersion in new ways of inhabiting, thinking, and living, under the theme
Sowing Dreams. With over
5400 m², the 40 new projects, created by more than
50 professionals from architecture and design, include dining spaces like a restaurant, bar, and café, as well as stores for glasses, scents, and a concept store from Electrolux. The Art Space is also a highlight, creating a project that dialogues with culture, sustainability, ancestry, and technology. Under the direction of
Karina Capaverde, Vera Capaverde, and Luciano Mota, and technical curation of
Aclaene de Mello, CASACOR Rio Grande do Sul 2025 rests on the principle that designing is imagining possible futures — and, more than that, sowing them. The new projects presented in this edition investigate how design can regenerate daily life, retrieve memories, and strengthen the sense of belonging.
Occupation with meaning

Reopening the old terminal is a powerful symbolic gesture. A place for departures and reunions now transforms into a space for permanence and contemplation. Originally scheduled for September 2024, CASACOR Rio Grande do Sul was postponed to May 2025 due to the floods that hit the state. During the restructuring period, the interior of the building, which was completely flooded, underwent new interventions to host the event's works. "This building is deeply connected to the memories of residents and travelers. Reactivating it with an event that celebrates home, encounters, and affection is a tribute to the city and its history," says
Karína Capaverde, director of CASACOR Rio Grande do Sul. In times of reconstruction, a poetic and urgent gesture. The facade of the old terminal is now a visual manifesto. The Sun Setting Facade project, signed by the
Architecture and Design team of CASACOR RS in collaboration with
Studio1 Architecture and Coral Paints, colors the brises of the building with a gradient inspired by the hues of Porto Alegre's sunset. The work is more than just an aesthetic intervention: amid the greatest climatic tragedy in the state's history, it becomes a symbol of hope, contemplation, and regeneration.
The conquest of space
Few places in Porto Alegre house a work as grand and preserved over the years. Right at the entrance of CASACOR Rio Grande do Sul 2025, the visitor rekindles the monumental
panel The Conquest of Space, created in the 1970s by
Aldo Locatelli, Emílio Sessa, and Attílio Pisoni — a landmark of Brazilian public art that has crossed decades as a guardian of the city’s affective memory. With over 20 m in width and colors that still vibrate with intensity, the mural is now recontextualized in the reception space signed by
Caroline Kreling. By preserving the modernist lines of the terminal and inserting contemporary furniture with curatorial precision, the project reconfigures the space into a manifesto about memory, future, and the transformative power of art — making the old hall, as before, an invitation to travel. This time, for a sensitive journey through the territories of living.
Design Week Poa and Art Space: attractions that propose new perspectives to the season

CASACOR Rio Grande do Sul 2025 celebrates the debut of the
Design Week POA, which brings forth the creative strength of Gaucho design. With curation by
Felipe Helfer, Camila Farina, Giselle Padoin, and Julia Qualisoni, the space gathers over 30 local designers in an immersive installation that explores the theme "
Present, past, and future". The exhibited pieces reveal the history of Porto Alegre, while also projecting new imaginaries and possible futures, uniting tradition and innovation. Among the highlights are the Pampa lamp by
Leonardo Zanatta, the Iberê bench by
Bruno De Lazzari, the Patagonia armchair by
Bruno Faucz, and the tapestries by
Mitti Mendonça and Renata Rubim. The historic armchair from Theatro São Pedro also makes an appearance, in a dialogue between contemporary furniture and Porto Alegre's artisanal legacy.

In the Art Space, curated by
Luciano R. Mota, the public will find a series of exhibitions featuring over 20 independent artists throughout the show. The 200 m² space follows the white cube concept, with neutral floors and white walls that highlight the works in a minimalist environment. Every two weeks, new artists and works will occupy the space, offering the public a constantly renewed experience. "The rotating program is a way to keep the public continuously immersed in new experiences, allowing for a constant renewal of artistic perception," explains Luciano R. Mota, responsible for the curation.

Arena CASACOR Rio Grande do Sul: a bet on innovation and connection
The Arena CASACOR RS, one of the innovations of the year, will have content curation from
Club&Casa Design. With an intense program throughout CASACOR, the space will be the stage for lectures, meetings, and debates on innovation, sustainability, behavior, management, and technology — essential topics to inspire, provoke, and expand repertoires in the creative sector. The project, signed by
estúdio254 and named VOE Vessen, explores the symbolism of the airport as a place of departure and connection, and proposes immersive zones that activate listening, focus, and collaboration, reflecting the new paradigms of work environments. More information on the names, themes, and experiences of the Content Arena will be released soon through the official channels of Club&Casa Design and CASACOR RS.
Gastronomy as a sensory experience
Pollyana Pizzutti e FS Engenharia - Venzone Cocina. Projeto da CASACOR Rio Grande do Sul 2025. (Cristiano Bauce/CASACOR)
In CASACOR RS 2025, gastronomy and mixology take center stage, creating a unique immersion for the senses. The event will feature a restaurant, a secret bar, and a café, all with special hours and independent access from the ticket purchase for the exhibition. Each space will present an exclusive menu, offering a culinary experience that promises to surprise and enchant the public.
- Venzone Cucina (Pollyana Pizzutti and Franciele Schmidt): The restaurant bets on a visual narrative that combines Italian-American heritage with a New York club atmosphere, with art, intimate lighting, and a striking identity.
- Café na Casa (Bethina Moreira and Patricia Strelow): Operated by the brand Chocólatras, this space invites pause and dreaming, with chocolate as the guiding thread. The inspiration from the origins of cocoa and artisanal practices transforms the environment into a welcoming sanctuary.
- Sir and Ma’am Bar (HVM Arquitetura): A bar with the soul of a speakeasy, accessed through secret pathways and marked by artworks, rare objects, and an aesthetic combining the raw with the sophisticated.
Commercial spaces that unite design and experience
Trino Arquitetura - Olhares. Projeto da CASACOR Rio Grande do Sul 2025. (Cristiano Bauce/CASACOR)
CASACOR Rio Grande do Sul 2025 presents three commercial spaces that expand the experience of the exhibition by gathering authorial design, purpose, and innovation. The store Olhares, designed by the
Trino Arquitetura office for the brand Gustavo Eyewear, bets on a light and sensory architecture, where natural light, recycled acrylic, and reforested wood create a space for contemplation.
Patrícia Pasini Arquitetura - Casa Di Aromi. Projeto da CASACOR Rio Grande do Sul 2025. (Cristiano Bauce/CASACOR)
The Electrolux Concept Store, designed by
Luiz Sentinger, proposes a kitchen integrated with nature, equipped with smart solutions that reflect the future of domestic well-being. Casa di Aromi, conceived by
Patricia Pasini for Mels Brushes, is a poetic refuge where scents, repurposed materials, and organic textures intertwine in an installation that awakens senses and memories.
Sustainability challenges and initiatives at CASACOR Rio Grande do Sul 2025
Polido Arquitetura - Ana Hnszel e Marcelo Polido - Nosso Hangar. Projeto da CASACOR Rio Grande do Sul 2025. (Cristiano Bauce/CASACOR)
CASACOR RS 2025, in partnership with
Bgreen, adopts a proactive approach to measuring and communicating the event's carbon footprint. From this partnership, the event starts closely monitoring its emissions, implementing compensation and reuse actions at all stages. From material selection to waste management to reverse logistics, all practices are designed to minimize impacts. Furthermore, the event adopts compensation for emissions avoided through sustainable initiatives. This process is the first step towards the total neutralization of emissions in the future, aligning CASACOR RS with ESG practices and demonstrating a real commitment to sustainability, transparency, and environmental responsibility.
