14/34 -

Fabrica Arquitetura - Artesanato de Pernambuco — Galeria Abelardo da Hora. "A genius of form and material. He made social policy and denunciation out of art. Considered the greatest expressionist sculptor in Brazil, the artist's production is as rich and complex as Brazilian art. The craft gallery reflects the various moments of his career: from the drawings, with well-defined and well-defined angles, translated into the mosaic floor, to the curves of the furniture and fabrics, recalling the cadence of his most recent sculptures.

Mario Costa Santos - A room for Janete
20/34 -

Mario Costa Santos - A room for Janete. "Designing a space in your honor, mother, left me in conflict with infinite parameters. The environment should contemplate: generosity, harmony, dynamism, determination, aesthetics, truth, art, architecture and Brazilianness. It should be huge to fit your heart. Intelligent to fit your genius. Small enough to fit your immense humility. I combined all these ingredients with generous portions of love and longing. I made it for you. I think you will like it", shares the professional.

The name of the space is a tribute to the architect's mother. "My ancestor would not be different if it weren't for her, a woman who raised four children alone. I owe everything to her. After she passed away, I understood how much she didn't have the opportunities for us to have the chance to choose what we do today. There are so many Quitérias in the world!
