Dry Living, by Vitru Architects- CASACOR Pernambuco 2021 | (MCA Estudio)

Vitru Arquitetos - Living Seco. Projeto da CASACOR Pernambuco 2021.

Vitru Arquitetos - Living Seco. (MCA Estudio/CASACOR)

CASACOR Pernambuco is back after a hiatus in 2020 - when it was presented in a new format with the special edition Janelas - and opens its new edition in Recife with the theme The Original House . Among the projects, visitors will find everything from lofts and studios, a café, a bookstore and a space for popular crafts in an area of 2,000 m². In total, there are 22 spaces designed by some of the best professionals in architecture, interior design and landscaping . This year, the exhibition will take place from October 28 to December 5 at the external pavilion of Shopping Center Recife (Rua Padre Carapuceiro, 777), but it is also available through photos, videos, yearbook and 3D Tour . Check out all the spaces at gallery below.

The idea was to maintain communication between art and architecture, where each assumes its role with mastery, thus becoming protagonists.

Dubeux Vasconcelos Arquitetura - Estar Quies Coral. (MCA Estudio/CASACOR)

Due to the pandemic, the event in 2020 took place differently and was named Janelas CASACOR . In a hybrid format, physical and digital, the exhibition mapped 14 points in the city that received showcases with environments that could be visited by bicycle, by cycle path, or by boat, along the Capibaribe River. Some of these points were set up in communities of social interest, such as Entra Apulso and Brasília Teimosa .

(MCA Estudio/CASACOR)

The theme of this year's exhibitions is The Original House . The concept was chosen before the pandemic and reflects the need for a break from a world of excess. The pandemic has amplified this trend and many people have turned to their childhood memories to the parents' or grandparents' house. It was noted that there was a need and demand for more affection and comfort. Ancestry and belonging, more than ever, became present ideas. Now, visitors can see the environments created based on the theme.
