Gislene Lopes - Bathroom and Dressing Room. Far from conventions that choose light colors for relaxation areas, the project navigates through dark tones, which are no less peaceful for that. Divided into connected spaces, it features cascading water at the entrance, a cozy bathroom followed by the shower area and a comfortable dressing room. The composition features a strong presence of stone, landscaping and art in connection with well-being.

Mayara Cancela - Gourmet: Between Curves and Encounters. Designed as a perfect setting for good conversations, the project chooses curved volumes to promote a welcoming atmosphere and textures that emphasize touch. Every detail was designed to enrich the sensory experience. With light carpentry work, the open-concept kitchen opens up to the local vegetation. Inside, the greenery allows for intimate contact with nature, as do the clay ceramics.

Without excess, each architectural element is carefully considered to create an atmosphere that invites contemplation and lingering. The elegance of the space is enhanced by the subtle integration of natural materials, such as wood and stone, adding soft textures that provide a pleasant tactile sensation.

New address

Espaço 356 was chosen due to the recent retrofit process in the project, allowing the building to be completely redesigned based on the work of architects Alexandre Nagazawa and Isabela Vecci , light designer Sônia Mendes , and landscaper Felipe Fontes . The goal is to offer a new concept of entertainment in the city, known as Living Center , bringing together gastronomy, fashion, art, sports and well-being in one place.

With this initiative, CASACOR Minas Gerais continues its tradition of revealing spaces and buildings to the public, presenting new formats for their use and interaction with the city. Since its creation, CASACOR Minas has been responsible for revealing to the public and drawing attention to the importance of a series of buildings that are part of the urban landscape, such as the headquarters of the Minas Gerais Public Archives, the Casa do Conde de Santa Marinha, the Casarão da Rede Ferroviária Federal, the Palácio das Mangabeiras, the Casa Ferolla , as well as several other commercial and residential properties. “The city is a living, breathing mechanism that has been undergoing a series of transformations. By choosing an address that has just undergone a retrofit process, reintegrating itself into the urban landscape and acquiring new uses, we are reflecting on the importance and commitment of professionals in architecture, interior design and landscaping in the process of rebuilding cities,” highlights Eduardo Faleiro , director of CASACOR Minas.

Faleiro also acknowledges that the theme chosen for the year was challenging for the cast, who focused on presenting solutions in tune with the impacts of current and future times. Director Juliana Grillo highlights that the theme helped reinforce the importance of sustainable practices in the market, highlighting care for the environment and the contribution to the quality of life of people and the planet. “By occupying an existing building, which has just undergone a requalification process within a model that restores the old structure and preserves the original architecture, we are contributing to presenting new formats for using not only the areas, but also part of the existing buildings in large cities, reducing the generation of waste”, highlights the director.

2024 Edition

With a very heterogeneous cast, which brings together veterans, professionals established in the market and newcomers, CASACOR Minas 2024 surprises with its implementation and the diversity of views on a theme that is urgent and universal, raising in the public the need to rethink choices and old habits. Because of this, this edition has some specificities in relation to the others. The first of these is that some areas will be open to the public, meaning they will be accessible without paying for tickets. Another new feature is that some projects, mainly commercial ones, will continue to operate after the show is over.

The areas open to the public include: Ticket Office, Café Mayor, Restaurant and Extremo Park Indoor. Those that will be integrated into Espaço 356 in the future include: Barber Shop, Perfumery, among others that may be announced throughout the show. Another new feature this year is the return of the Mostra 100% Minas, created to present a selection of the state's current contemporary production.

Gastronomy

Gastronomy plays a significant role in the program. This year, visitors will have access to a variety of options, designed to cater to a wide range of audiences. Starting with the confectionery, designed by the Pega Projeto team (Gabriela Brasil, Marlon Júnior and Pedro Melo), strategically located next to the ticket office, which will allow visitors to enjoy the creations of the Célia Soutto Mayor buffet , one of the oldest in the city.
The Cabernet Butiquim team will be in charge of Bar de Vidro , by Paulo Campos and Sarah Floresta, from Balsa Arquitetura , with a very cosmopolitan feel, which extends both to the style of the environment and the menu. The coffee break will be at Elisa Café , designed by Roziane Faleiro . The bar, one of the most popular spaces at the show, which this year was designed by Junior Piacesi , will once again be taken over by the Jangalito team. And a success that is already becoming a trademark of CASACOR Minas is the Restaurante O Chef e o Cabra , by Onildo Rocha from Paraíba, who has been voted one of the best chefs in the country several times. In this edition, the restaurant has a project signed by Life Projects, by José Lourenço and Marina Figueiredo , who is also in charge of Cozinha Marble , an environment in collaboration with Camila Vilela . The space will host an intense program of activities that includes cooking classes throughout the entire show.

Art exhibitions

In addition to the massive presence in the spaces, with works carefully selected from galleries and private collections, the visual arts deserve a special place in the program. One of the spaces, the Art Gallery , designed by architect and designer Juliana Vasconcellos , will have a busy schedule, presenting the work of important artists during the exhibition season. There are individual and collective exhibitions, some of which feature part of the collection of gallery owners who stand out in the Belo Horizonte scene, making up an exquisite selection that includes different formats and supports. This strategy aims to bring the visiting public closer to important names in the art produced in the capital of Minas Gerais , thus creating greater intimacy with artists, designers and galleries that, in this way, approach an exponential number of people who are already interested in art and also those who will have the opportunity, for the first time, to experience this closer contact.
