What's new in 2022
This year, the exhibition has several new features. One of them was the creation of spaces that can be accessed by visitors to the Palace Park without having to pay for an entrance fee to the exhibition. In this case, visitors will only need to purchase a ticket to visit the park (R$ 10 and R$ 5). In total, 11 spaces of the exhibition are part of the landscape of the Palace Park. They are: Motorhome, by
BCMF Arquitetura , Concept Store, by
Sara Rodesky and
Carolina Faria , Department Restaurant, designed by
Isabela Vecci , Raízes Pavilion, by
Gabriel Bueno , Origin Minas, by
Cynthia Silva , Labyrinth Playground, by
Vazio S/A , Guaxo's Nest, by
Antônio Grillo , Palace Courtyard, by
Patricia Abreu , The Bar, by
Lucas Lage , Container/Bar, by
Victor Duarte and
Luisa Lage , Cinema , by
Alessandra Oliveira , On the Surreal Nature of Things, by
Marcelo Alvarenga and
Marina Tadeu . Another difference is the focus that
CASACOR Minas has brought to architecture: the public will be able to visit a large number of buildings, which were designed especially for the exhibition. “The focus on architecture made it possible to create a more fluid visiting circuit, with many breathing spaces between the buildings. This way, visitors will be able to admire the shapes and also a series of construction innovations”, highlights Faleiro.
Highlights
Architects Bruno Santa Cecília and Alexandre Brasil, from the
Arquitetos Associados office, created the Líder Interiores square, named Infinito Coletivo. The project offers ample freedom for architectural experimentation in a space for coexistence and collective enjoyment, creating environments without pre-determined use and with strong sensory experiences. The Ninho de Guaxo pavilion, designed by architect
Antônio Grillo , was conceived to function as a small auditorium for events during the show and can seat between 28 and 31 people, in addition to the space for speakers. The structure was made with steel bars welded together, forming a pattern similar to the nest of this species. The Deca Bathroom, a project by
CLS Arquitetura , by architects Kívia Costa, Graziela and Erika Steckelberg, was designed to be a sensory environment. The idea is to heighten sensations, whether through the sound of water gushing from a fountain that comes out of the ceiling, uses Deca taps, either for the smell or for the layout that combines organic pieces. The proposal by architects
Assis Humberto Ribeiro and
Marcus Vinícius dos Santos for the Studio + Fórmica environment, a functional kitchen, started from sensory architecture to pay homage to the 100 years of the Week of 22.
A culture that is becoming increasingly popular in Brazil, that of traveling by motorhome and taking your home with you wherever you go, has been the subject of a careful project by the
BCMF office, authored and co-authored by architects Silvio Todeschi and Marcos Sales, respectively. Passionate and a natural researcher In the hotel industry,
Natan Gil named his space Urban Oasis to show that it is not necessary to leave the city to rest.
Architect
Isabela Vecci seems to have drawn from the source of writer Murilo Rubião's fantastic realism, inspired by Gabriel Garcia Márquez or a Tim Burton film to create an environment that, if it reminds us of a stage rehearsal, also refers to a certain reality. tangible form, for someone who is over 50. To create his restaurant Departamento, which resembles a public office from some decade after the middle of the 20th century, full of objects such as files, typewriters, PABX telephone tables and many others pieces from the 1940s, 1950s and 1960s. Another restaurant is owned by architect
Sarah James , called O Chefe e o Cabra. The earthy tones already announce it: the environment brings a hint of the Northeast as inspiration, without being caricatured. Washed-out colors allow the colorful food to take center stage, where , certainly, nothing competes.
The Raízes Pavilion, by architect
Gabriel Bueno , is also a new addition to this edition. Podcasts will be recorded in this space, a partnership with UniBH. Inspired by Lina Bo Bardi, one of the most iconic architects of the 20th century, and designed as a podcast studio, the glass box conveys transparency and integrates with the surrounding landscaping.
