The view of nature is intertwined with
living in different dimensions: as described by Timothy Bentley, author of the book
Biophilic Cities ,
climate, flora and fauna are elements that define the urban home. According to the researcher, encouraging contact with nature within cities is essential, both for the preservation of natural resources and for the well-being of society. The biophilic cities movement demands that green areas be at least five minutes away from people's homes. One way to visualize this proposal is in the exhibitions of
Tocantins ,
Espírito Santo ,
Bahia ,
Rio de Janeiro at
CASACOR 2024 , which designed spaces where
nature is the protagonist . Check it out:
Tocantins River
The view from Five Senses Resort Palmas, the venue chosen for
CASACOR Tocantins 2024 , makes a visit to the exhibition a true immersion into the geography of the state. The natural landscape surrounding the space is none other than the second largest river in Brazil: the
Tocantins River . In addition to being one of the country's main hydroelectric sources, the river also supplies the local population through fishing, irrigation and tourism.

Boi Island
For the third time,
CASACOR Espírito Santo occupies the Clube Ítalo-Brasileiro, which is located in a coastal neighborhood of Vitória:
Ilha do Boi . With clear, calm waters and abundant vegetation, Ilha do Boi is renowned in the capital of Espírito Santo as a refuge in the middle of the big city. The space provides views of the local beauty and can be an opportunity to see turtles up close or try out climbing and rappelling.

Gavea Rock
Located in the Tijuca Forest,
Pedra da Gávea is the largest monolith by the sea in the world. It has become a landmark of
Rio de Janeiro, and is also a favorite destination for those who enjoy hiking. And on top of all that, Pedra da Gávea is one of the landscapes that surround the Fashion Mall, home of
CASACOR Rio de Janeiro 2024. The view of the rock was crucial in fulfilling the show's desire to bring nature into the mall, by highlighting the dense vegetation cover that acts as a barrier against air pollution in the capital of Rio de Janeiro.
