Lucas Cunha and Natalia Vale - Beach House. CASACOR Ceará 2021 Project.(Victor Eleuterio/)
/28 - Afonso Tomoda - Nagoya Suite. The natural lighting provided by the skylight in the house's original design, together with the structural stone wall, were the starting point for the creation of this space. The suite, with oriental roots and inspired by the architect's origins, brings together great emotional memories. Wood is present in the cabinetry, providing warmth and timelessness, and referring to nature. Wooden floors, ceilings and walls complement the concept. The tatami bed stands out, as does the bathroom in the center of the room, with a wooden hot tub. (Esdras Guimarães)
/28 - Diego Studart - Master Bedroom. This intimate bedroom uses lots of wood and darker tones. With modern touches, the industrial chic concept features elements such as burnt cement and the use of metalon, which takes on a golden color. The integrated lighting features peak lighting and LED profiles. The integration between the bedroom, closet and balcony makes the space feel more spacious. To enhance the couple's socializing and intimacy, the architect chose not to use a television, instead designing the balcony as a cozy space full of details, ideal for good meals, conversations and reading. (Esdras Guimarães)
/28 - Elias Petruço - Ser Estar Ceará. Comfort, tranquility and affection are key words for a lighter home. Preserving the original structure of the house, but with a contemporary language, the architect transformed the porch into an environment to be and be, a living room open to the countless possibilities of experiencing affections through a dynamic and timeless architectural concept, which dialogues with the regionality imbued in the works of local artists. The idea is to provide the visitor with a revisit to a completely redesigned and redecorated memory, with elements that sharpen the lightest and most affectionate memories, especially those late afternoons filled with coffee, tapioca and familiar voices. (Victor Eleuterio)
/28 - Gabriela Sobral - Reception. The textures and materials chosen for the space were inspired by those already present in the property, such as the stone wall and concrete. The architect chose colors that embrace and complement the original style: green tones and natural materials, such as raw wood, leather, linen and clay. As this is a space for use and passage, the flow and thermal comfort received special attention, with large window openings and elements that connect with the surroundings and the garden, such as iron and glass. (Esdras Guimarães)
/28 - Gustavo Augusto, Laís Sampaio and René Parente - Liz's Suite. For this sensorial space, the architects chose elements of vernacular architecture that awaken affective memories and emotional triggers. Some elements reinforce the concept of an original home and rescue our own history, such as the fulget applied to the wall and ceiling, the wood texture on the floor, the light and rustic fabrics and the slatted panel simulating lace patterns. These and other details are reminiscent of the architecture of beach locations, with cozy environments that are ideal for those seeking a spa and relaxation space in their daily lives. (Esdras Guimarães)
/28 - João Dias - The Office, Oh! The new reality of families inspired this project that combines work and leisure. The cozy, comfortable environment with refined details features neutral colors, spot lighting, organic textures and geometric shapes. In addition to tables, the space has furniture designed by Brazilian designers, designed for relaxation and reading, which can also be used for social gatherings. A highlight is the panel made by artisans from the Barro Branco group, from Majorlândia, under the direction of French Natalie Nicolas and with the support of Ceará-based designer Túlio Paracampos. (Esdras Guimarães)
/28 - João Dias - Pracinha da Casa. The old squares, which brought families and friends together for moments of relaxation and contact with nature, inspired this open and inclusive space, with a view of the sky, located in the interior area of the house and designed to provide visitors with a peaceful environment. The access - a ramp transformed into a walkway - passes over a reflecting pool. The composition combines the sound of water, scenic lighting, natural vegetation and furniture with design works and pieces of Ceará crafts. (Esdras Guimarães)
/28 - Joana Figueiredo - Ava's Comfort. The space is a tribute to Christiane Boris' granddaughter, daughter of Philippe Boris, the owner of the house. Northeastern roots are everywhere, bringing a little bit of the backlands to the urban environment. The colors that refer to the earth, the foliage and the sky connect with the neutral tones, uniting the rural with the urban. The wood brings a feeling of comfort and well-being and the brown finish of some pieces makes the space more contemporary and special. The floor, designed by the architect, refers to the rocks of our central backlands. In the blue sky, excerpts of Northeastern musical stories. (Esdras Guimarães)
/28 - Juliana Hissa and Zaira Mendes - Bar do Cais. The architects' project pays homage to the iconic Cais Bar, which is part of the history of the city of Fortaleza. The Ceará roots, so present in the place, are also evident in the ambiance, with elements that refer to the renowned artists who left their mark on this bohemian meeting point. The musicians are everywhere, in the decorative details: images, photographs, excerpts from songs, paintings... A reinterpretation with the impression and sensitivity already characteristic of the professional duo, which gives a touch of contemporary to the space. (Esdras Guimarães)
/28 - Lucas Cunha and Natalia Vale - Beach House. The main feature of the space is comfort, and the feeling of well-being and sophistication is created by the materials used. The gourmet area and the living room are integrated, which allows for various layouts to be created. A metal ceiling and a parapet are used in the ceiling. Iron allows for the creation of gaps without the use of pillars, increasing the freedom and circulation of the space. Wood is the main feature and provides a feeling of comfort, while being bold and timeless, while the glass allows visual contact with the outside area. The lighting features warm tones and highlights important elements and points of the space. (Victor Eleuterio)
/28 - Luciana Brasileiro and Marcílio Sousa - Ceará Feito à Mão. The idea of a calm and welcoming, yet sophisticated space was guaranteed by the use of timeless materials and light colors, which predominate throughout the space. The idea is to enhance and contrast with the objects displayed by the designers and artisans. The beach style has been given a touch of boho chic and the space is illuminated by a palette inspired by sand and shells - a translation of purity, warmth and comfort, connected to nature and striving for sustainability. The project pays special attention to elements with a rustic touch, textures, washed wood, natural light and integration of the interior with the exterior space. (Esdras Guimarães)
/28 - André Monte - Caminhos dos Ventos. The lifestyle of the Ceará native was the starting point for the project designed by architect André Monte: open to the wind and sun, the cozy balcony was created to be discovered slowly, without rushing. Each corner makes it special, a true invitation to live moments of peace and comfort, to feel the enormous pleasure of being at home. (Esdras Guimarães)
/28 - Mario Wilson - Welcome Square. The intervention preserves the external area of the house built in the 1970s. The project offers visitors a welcoming square, which allows them to contemplate the façade and enjoy the spaces distributed over 400 m². The inspiration is the curve, seen in the pergolas that were “revisited”, creating shelter and shade. The unevenness along the land was aligned by means of a masonry containment to make the space accessible. The structure received landfill materials, originating from the construction itself, maintaining the concept of sustainability. In order to follow the zero waste policy, the wood is reused and the leftovers from the flooring were used in other areas of the environment. (Victor Eleuterio)
/28 - Natália Medeiros - Master Bathroom. The project was developed based on the theme of The Original House and carries a great emotional memory for the architect, granddaughter of the property owners. The natural stone that covers part of the bathroom represents the “rock” that the home should be. The entrances of natural light and the garden, original to the house, were maintained and complemented with the tables, which give the room a refugee feel. The contemporary style is represented by straight lines, dull metals and wood. The bathtub and natural marble guarantee sophistication. The project was designed to provide a sensory experience of relaxation and reflection. (Esdras Guimarães)
/28 - Ney Filho - Canteen. The project emerged as a space to promote and celebrate Fortaleza's recognition as a creative city in design by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). The gourmet space is the stage for building the union of design with Ceará's gastronomy and, for the architect, such a “marriage” could only happen at the table. The act of eating together, sharing, offering and sharing is ancestral, from the origin of our society, of our collective. And it is repeated in the construction of families, peoples and cultures. The environment is surrounded by nature, with simple, open, clean and pure architecture. The focus is on people and all the elements are from Ceará. (Esdras Guimarães)
/28 - Pedro Athayde - BPK. The backlands feel is conveyed through natural materials and rustic finishes, starting with the flooring. Similar to natural and beaten concrete, its bright colors recall the warmth of the countryside. A solid wood platform connects the indoor and outdoor spaces and provides thermal comfort. The porcelain tile finish adds a modern touch, also helping with the acoustics of the bathrooms and ensuring privacy and usability of the space. (Esdras Guimarães)
/28 - Rachell Aguiar - Lar da Gente. The sustainable integration of man with the environment was the starting point of the project, which draws attention to the large cashew tree in the center of the room. The contrast with the surroundings is due to the masonry, which features shades of gray, in addition to the sophisticated furniture. The proposal is for an intimate, elegant and sober environment - an invitation for visitors to circulate and socialize. In the project, the intertwined geometry of the shapes alludes to the work of Sérvulo Esmeraldo, paying homage to local art and culture and giving a touch of lightness to the environment. (Esdras Guimarães)
/28 - Ramiro Mendes - Zarf Café. On a large outdoor bench, with a date palm as the main attraction, the professional sought inspiration from a trip to Turkey for everyday life similar to Brazilians, such as the habit of drinking coffee. The name of the space comes from the zarf cup, in which the drink is served. Textures and shapes of clay vases and jugs also influenced the design, which features beige and red tones. The furniture arrangement combines creations by local and national designers, and the intimate lighting in warmer tones further enhances the tree. The walls covered with clay elements, the granite counters and tables, and the seats in different weaves and textures complement the place. (Victor Eleuterio)
/28 - Sophia Valente - Asymmetrical Lavatory. In her debut, the architect presents a contemporary-style lavatory project, with openings in the wall to provide continuity to the ceiling. The use of pebbles on the floor, as well as the wood applied to the walls, give a natural and modern feel, in addition to awakening sensations such as coziness and welcome. The countertop was designed by the professional. The final touch is given by the lighting, which highlights materials, colors and textures. (Esdras Guimarães)
/28 - Studio Linear - Lara Correia and Nahalia Rangel - Wine Room. The modern architecture, so characteristic of the duo's projects, was adapted to the environment that carries stories and elements from the 1970s, such as stone cladding and sunshades. In the project, the valorization of wood, more sober tones and indirect lighting, results in a cozy and sophisticated space. The idea is to provide visitors with immediate identification and awaken the desire to experience each day in a wine room ideal for a social and welcoming experience. (Victor Eleuterio)
/28 - Susana Clark Fiúza - TV Recording Studio. The space, intended for TV Otimista activities, is located in the garden. Amidst a green universe, the environment features materials and colors related to local culture. Wood is used in harmony with pieces designed and inspired by the Brazilian people, by designers such as Jader Almeida and Roberta Banqueri. The glass ceiling allows you to see the immensity of the trees, while the floor is made of small stones. (Victor Eleuterio)
/28 - Anik Mourão - Estância Piúba - Deca. In this project, the architect explores the excellence of DECA's kitchen accessories, present in the metal and china finishes. Piúba, a wood that was used to make rafts, and the concept of permanence of the estancia, form a relationship with the backlands and the sea. Colors, textures and aromas of “terroir” are assimilated into the space, transforming it into an environment of coexistence, affection and experiences. Based on the Wabi-Sabi aesthetic used by Anik, it is possible to perceive transience and imperfection, an unpredictable and not at all evident rusticity. (Esdras Guimarães)
/28 - Arthur Bonavides - Tropical Brazil. The professional sought inspiration for the Lounge Jardim environment in “Brazilianism”. The landscaping combines modernity with tropical style. The different plants of our climate provide comfort and allow visitors to admire the space and learn a little more about the local flora. (Esdras Guimarães)
/28 - Brenda Rolin - Salão Origem. The space is intended for exhibitions, where knowledge and entrepreneurship meet to transform desires into reality. Divided into three axes (backlands, mountains and sea), the space's project discusses views on the past and future, tradition and innovation, identity and diversity. The open-air cinema (Cine Empreendedor) brings stories of individual and community transformation and the exchange of experiences and conversations is guaranteed with the exhibition of works by artists and artisans. (Victor Eleuterio)
/28 - Christiane Boris - Living - A Place to Reunite. In her family home, designed by her father Philippe Boris, Christiane Boris presents a space inspired by her parents' love and dedication. Travel, culture and respect for nature, inherited from the architect, are represented in a space dedicated to family and friendship ties, designed for reunions, hugs, welcome and good conversations. This is a time to celebrate life and reconnect with spirituality. In the winter garden, a piece of nature represents the sacred temple of God, plants and water. It is for relaxing and contemplating. The highlight is the oratory, a gift from her great-grandmother to her mother. (Esdras Guimarães)
/28 - Claryanne Aguiar - Artist's Corridor. Art and elegance come together in this project. The passageway that connects the house's spaces breathes art and brings joy to visitors. The colors gray and black were chosen to enhance the artist's works, making them stand out even more. One of the attractions is the mirror installed on the ceiling, which creates a double effect and allows the appreciation of the space and its elements from numerous angles. (Esdras Guimarães)
/28 - Danielle Valente - Contemporary Office. The new reality imposed by the pandemic serves as a starting point for this project that encourages research and reading, and extends the comfort of home to the office. The natural light from the internal garden is enhanced and the stained glass window on the façade divides the work area and the relaxation space. Also original to the residence, the suspended sleepers provide indirect lighting that accentuates the intimate atmosphere. The play of shapes and volumes of the designed elements, together with the wooden lining, provides elegance and comfort. Materials such as stone, leather and natural fibers in earthy tones create a casual and timeless effect. The furniture of national design stands out. (Esdras Guimarães)
/28 - Diego Carneiro Arquitetos - Art Lover's Dining Room. The inspiration for the space is brutalist architecture, with features such as minimalism and the display of real materials in the buildings (a legacy of the house's original design), as well as references to the works of Athos Bulcão. The space has two areas: the dining room, with a signature table; and the lounge bar, composed of comfortable and bold armchairs and a sideboard made of ebonized wood root trunks. Also noteworthy are the marble floor and the vertical garden with native and tropical species. The color palette features a contrasting combination of black and white. The lighting consists of a backlight above the concrete pergolas, allowing natural light to enter. (Victor Eleuterio)
