34---Restaurante---Studio-Hub-casa-cor-brasilia-2016-quando-conviver-vira-tendencia For studioHUB, an architectural or interior design project is only complete when the products that comprise it are also created. That is why, at the BLOCO C restaurant at CASACOR Brasília 2016 , the office, which designed an environment inspired by the city of Brasília and Modernism, also brought a prototype of a furniture line, with the same concept as the space. “The furniture was created with the same references that guided the architectural project: the city of Brasília and Modernism that build the image of the business”, comments Rebeca Maaldi, architect and partner at studioHub.
The professionals' idea was to create furniture that could be used outside the showroom, in other commercial spaces, or even in outdoor areas, such as balconies and gardens. To achieve this, they aligned design with functionality, designing resistant pieces that meet the needs of, for example, good service in any other restaurant. "We believe that this design difference should mean exclusivity, not in the concept of limited consumption and restricted to people with high purchasing power, but exclusivity as a reflection of the consumer's personality and that gives identity to the environment chosen to receive the piece," concludes Rebeca. 01-moveis-studiohub The objects included tables, a sofa, benches, a coffee table and a modular bookcase. All of them are made of carbon steel mesh with black electrostatic paint and well-defined lines, which are also finished in Quatzito Artenis stone, highlighting the combination of different materials and the contrast between weights and solid and empty planes. The highlight was the table with a glass top. The oval shape of the top allows it to adapt to different environments and its transparency enhances the sculptural character of its base. The composition of its geometry in the meeting of lines and planes and the contrast between the weight of the materials represented by marble, glass and steel is a tribute by the office to the modernist elements that built the image of Brasília. 03-moveis-studiohub All the pieces were for sale at the Special Sale of the Brasilia show and were snapped up before the end of the event.
