“This year’s theme for CASACOR Brasília is an invitation for everyone to reflect on their day-to-day decisions, since in order to envision the future, we need a society that is aware of the present. We believe that it is our role, as a show, to propose a sector that values its roots and is more sustainable, in line with the transformations that are happening in the world,” say the organizers of CASACOR Brasília,
Eliane Martins ,
Moema Leão and
Sheila Podestá .
2024 Edition
The 2024 edition will occupy two floors of an
area of 7,600 m² in an unprecedented configuration, with
views of the Arena field , the venue for football matches and international concerts, and the Eixo Monumental in Brasília. There are more than
100 participating sponsoring and supporting companies , reaffirming the exhibition's characteristic of renewal every year. Among the new features
are art galleries and gastronomic operations created by three renowned chefs: the Danish Simon Lau, the French Guillaume Petitgas and the Brasilia native Thiago Paraiso. The exhibition offers
full accessibility , including for the visually and hearing impaired.
Cast
Among the architects, urban planners, designers and landscapers in this edition's cast, 20 will be presenting innovative projects for the first time. Renowned names in the field will also return to the show, highlighting the importance of valuing those who came before and are a reference for new generations.

Larissa Dias ' office (Tempo Sagrado) reaches its 15th participation, while

As a gift, the now
Given the premise that we will be ancestors of future societies, the most complete exhibition of architecture, art, design and landscaping in Latin America presents spaces committed to creating emotional memories, welcoming visitors and sustainable constructions. The spaces feature the use of
natural and ecological materials and handcrafted pieces , as well as the presence of
works of art and furniture by renowned designers – mainly from Brasília –, bringing a sense of belonging to the viewer. New trends also appear in a balanced mix of contemporary and classic.
Art and design in Brasilia
Confirming the power of Brasília as an inspiration, elements of the square have a place in the exhibition. This is the case of the
On Arquitetura space, developed by Luciana Canalli, the CUCAN Restaurant, which features symbolic elements of Brasília:
cobogós, tiles and pilotis . Developed in partnership with the
Brasília Design Week (BDW) movement, the space celebrates Brasília design with all the furniture and works of art by professionals from Brasília, in a rescue of the city's history.
References to the capital also appear in the Sonho de um Verão Mural Square, signed by designer and illustrator
Arielle Martins , who painted native species of the Cerrado, such as babassu, jatobá and buriti on a large panel painted exclusively for the exhibition. The presence of the artist is another major innovation of the 32nd edition, which, this year, fully embraces the power of works of art. Practically every room has made room for paintings, sculptures and other artistic works in the composition of the decoration. A dedicated gallery was even created within the exhibition in the project by the duo
Débora Bardales and Juliana Castro , where collections loaned from three local galleries – Referência Galeria, Expoarte and Cerrado Galeria – are displayed in suspended blocks.
The project by the
Olzi Arquitetura office, by Ana Luísa Zinato and Juliana Oliveira, called Le Jardin, also reproduces a gallery, this one with exclusive works from Bella Salvati's flower collection.
Mariana Leal 's space, Morada 11.11, is a house-gallery with works by the renowned artist from Sergipe who lives in Bahia, Jenner Augusto, the architect's great-uncle. On one wall of the space are only rare works by the painter.
Renata Ciccarini 's space, Com Viver, chose to include works of art from Cerrado Galeria as an element of sophistication and elegance to the project.
Once again, CASACOR is boosting the creative economy scene by promoting workshops on manual arts techniques. Taught by leading professionals in the segment, the experiences are in the areas of porcelain (
Clara Helena ), ceramics (
Mariana Franco ),
tufting (
Bruna Zanatta ) and watercolor (
Débora Ziviani ). The activities begin in August and continue until the end of the show in October.
Sustainability and inclusion
This edition is even more inclusive and sustainable.
The exhibition has expanded accessibility, making it possible for people with visual and hearing impairments. And in 2024, it reinforced sustainability actions with expanded rules for the disposal and generation of waste.
Sustainability is one of the most widely adopted concepts for the future in the projects of CASACOR 2024 environments, in line with the action of the show that has adopted the carbon neutral concept for three years, disposing of 97% of waste consciously, avoiding landfills and contributing to social projects. The vast majority of environments work with materials that have an environmental seal for being natural, organic, recycled, renewable, reused or reforested.
There are also new sustainable solutions, such as the steel frame that appears in the spaces of
Chris Arantes and Leandro Naya and the
Três Arquitetura office, the Pavilhão Arco. The construction technique uses modular galvanized steel structures, combining efficiency, durability and reduced environmental impact. Other proposals involve biophilic design – which includes nature within the environments – and the use of plastic wood, manufactured from industrial plastic waste.
Gastronomy
As has become tradition, the exhibition will feature gastronomic spaces. There will be three operations, two of which are new, designed by three renowned chefs:
Simon Lau, Guillaume Petitgas and Thiago Paraiso . One of them is the CUCAN Restaurant (a combination of the words “cozinha do Candanga”), by Danish chef Simon Lau, an informal environment with a Brasilia soul and a bistro feel, designed by Luciana Canali (
ON Arquitetura ) in partnership with Movimento Brasília Design Week (BDW) and Senac. Also participating in the show for the first time is chef Thiago Paraiso, with the operation
Oja Bar , a project by Gabriela Schinzel and Augustin Roca from Materea B, for which he will present signature and classic drinks and a menu to accompany the menu.
Joyce França and Marcelo Motta designed the Café, an environment that for the second consecutive year will feature the La Boulangerie brand by French chef Guillaume Petitgas.
