Back to where it all began, CASACOR Bolivia 2022 opens its 9th edition this Wednesday in a building in the historic center of Santa Cruz de la Sierra, at Moldes Street - nº 154, where the Asturias hotel operated for more than six decades . The exhibition, which runs from May 17 to June 25, 2022 , has a total area of 4,400 square meters with typical features of hotels from the middle of the last century. The 35 environments in this year's exhibition provoke reflection on the theme of CASACOR in 2022, " Infinito Particular ", which deals with biographical houses that go beyond styles. Luis Alberto “Quito” Velasco, director of the franchise in Bolivia, explained: “During the pandemic, we have proven ourselves capable of transforming our homes , each person has done so according to their needs. Now we are looking for versatile environments that adapt to any situation. ”. For this, 55 architecture, interior design and landscaping professionals were called upon who have previously participated in the show and are recognized names in the world of living. Check out the finished spaces below!

Alejandra Saucedo and Daniela Saucedo - Oasis. Alejandra and Daniela Saucedo created an Oasis in a space with a surface area of 90 m2. It is a lounge and bar covered by a structure covered in cement board and a false ceiling painted with a marble effect. Its ventilated façade is covered in shades of anthracite calce and nero greco, a design trend; this last color is applied to the porcelain counter, in good contrast with the stainless steel of the kitchen utensils and the wood of the drawers and shelves. The floor looks like wood and stone, while the champagne, navy blue and light blue furniture add a special charm to the entire space.

Being Intimate, by José Diego Torrico- CASACOR Bolivia 2022
03/35 -

José Diego Torrico - Being Intimate. José Diego Torrico's Intimate Room breaks with any idea of a TV room! The professional designed it in a circular shape, where the protagonist is an old fireplace. On the other hand, a vault was created in the ceiling, clearly evoking a cave and necessary to achieve the inspiration of the environment: the fire of prehistory. With the same purpose, on the 40 m surface there are details such as wood, stone and leather, accompanied by paintings of cave paintings. On one of the walls, a rocky covering rises from the floor, which contrasts with the blue of the window panes and the ceiling in the tone of the autumnal equinox.

Life in Rose, by Alejandra Iriarte and Alejandro Diez de Medina- CASACOR Bolivia

The bakery counter —where the Yayoi bakery will be set up to serve visitors— will be followed by tables with chairs, stools, armchairs and even a hammock. A mirror at the end of the space gives the place a sense of immensity.

17/35 -

The decoration of the internal space is made by artisans, using Chiquitano threads with neutral pigments, which harmonize with the warmth of the natural wood finishes. From the second floor bed, through a skylight, you can see the tree branches lit up outside. But, without a doubt, the most interesting thing is its adaptation to the way children play today, through their home automation system: the voice is enough to control the light, activate and deactivate music and television.
