In line with the theme " The Original House ", architect Daniel Wilges presents his experienced perspective on a recurring theme in today's world: the transformation of new habits and the reconnection with the place we inhabit. From this perspective, the professional collected inspirations which gave rise to their space at CASACOR Rio Grande do Sul in 2021, called Casa Wabi Sabi.

With a total area of 120 m², Casa Wabi Sabi was inspired by the Japanese ideals of Zen Buddhism, which are based on the beauty of the transient , bringing minimalism as one of its fundamental features and reducing all decoration to the essential.

With a focus on sustainability, Daniel made use of natural materials in harmony with nature. In this way, straw served as a covering for the walls and, on the floor, white marble remains create unique and winding paths in the space, in addition to transmitting the beauty of imperfection with a material that would otherwise be discarded.

Right at the entrance, Casa Wabi Sabi reflects the new transitional experience . Thus, in the hall, a bench for shoes was added, where people can put them on when arriving or leaving the house without having to come into contact with the internal area of the house. home; and also a Deca sink to sanitize hands or even objects. One of Daniel's first interventions was to restore the structure of the space so that the old architecture could come back to the surface . Thus, he brought the original windows of the historic building so that natural light could once again invade the space, as well as ventilation and all the nature of the outdoor area. The place was designed precisely to have these connections with our origins, in our ancestry. Daniel Wilges - Casa Wabi Sabi, projeto da CASACOR Rio Grande do Sul 2021. The furniture designed by the architect himself appears throughout the space: the Linie sofa comes in an off-white tone and shows its versatility; the Opa Bed has been given a Wabi Sabi reinterpretation, featuring a straw headboard; the dining table brings the action of nature with the return of Travertine marble; the Zero mirror appears in a new version in corten and is 1.40 meters long; and its two new launches, a line of screen dividers and the amorphous design of the dining table and side tables, make an impact with exclusive designs in different natural stones.
